Leeds dealership informs me that this latest spec. connects to Blackberry phones which I think should be good news for iPhones too.

The missus has an iphone 3g which we haven't tried yet - I'll let you know how we get on as she is borrowing the car later this week .

There are reports in other threads that the original iPhone 3G is a no-go even with the MY11 hybrid bluetooth connectivity. However the iPhone 3GS and 4G are reported to be working.

I've gotton iPhones to work with the Bluetooth system in new Superbs.

Does anyone know what the part numbers are for the new bluetooth system? I want to get one for my vRS Octavia.

Can't get SWMBO iphone 3g to sync - either as phone or media device - no problem in my last car (08 CRV) but clearly beyond VAG :thumbdown: :thumbdown:

The problem with the Iphone is not VAG, its Apple. They are refusing to include a feature now standard in many phones, namely RSAP. Until they decide to do this, then the iphone will not work with the RSAP GSM kit. More car manufacturers are fitting RSAP kits, not just VAG, so later quiet a few later cars no longer work with iphones. For newer Superbs VAG now supply a hybrid kit that can work with iphones, you just get less functionality.
