Recirculating air mode

Featured Replies

Having a few problems? with the recirculation mode on the heater/blower -

When selecting Recirculation the light in the button stays on for 5 - 30 seconds and then goes off.

This happens when the output switch is set to each vent position, and when aircon is selected and not selected.

Surely the recirculation should stay on for a bit longer?

Has anybody come accross this or is mine duff?

Mine does this, needs a new re circ flap motor, got one on order. But it will need diagnosis first as may be a control unit.

Note it should do this when the position is in demist but not all of them.

I could have sworn that a Fabia vRS that one of the guys has over here didn't turn recirculation off when front window demist was selected and the AC on, the reason I thought it was strange at the time was because mine would reset itself when front window demist was selected.

Cheers Ross,

I'll get it looked at at the next convenient point - probably 2006!!!

I've had this on occasions but my main problem is an infrequent switch to hot air for about 10 seconds and then back again. I wonder if the source of these problems is the same? They don't seem to occur together. Does anyone get only one of these problems, or do they get both?

This has been discussed in detail and appears to be the heater control unit.. i have the same problem (well actually both) but the recirc thing doenst really bother me, but the car trying to toast me does :D
