My God ! I've bort a Skoda!

Featured Replies

Well .. after lots of thort and serious deliberation ? ... I went and bort a second hand Skoda (never thought I'd hear me say that?) ..

It's Black .. it's diesel and really very nice!

I went mad and spent oodles of dosh (more than planned) ... (The kids will have to go to skool bare foot ! ) .

Collected My Octavia from garage in Cramlington last Thursday .. so I've been a Skoda owner for a whole week now !!

The weels havn't dropped off, the engine doesn't leak tO much oil, and the doors still open and close!

What more can I say?

My 59 reg is much better than "they used to be" ....

I set the gizmo back to "factory settings"??? ..................... So where can I get a Chekizlovakian phraze book from then??

Tee Hee .. There was a small panic (JUST INCASE) but hey we're in the European community now.

What could go wrong?

Have you read some of those instructions in the hand book ?

My old Almera didn't have a gizmo to twiddle with the radio etc just switchit on and hey presto .... After a week I can change stations (weather I wanto or not) play six CDs and listen to a miriad of playful tunes on the SD card toO ..... It takes ages to load an 8gb card ! (thought big was best ?).

I've learnt to drive "carefully" accelerate gently (watching the "onboard computermibob) , coast along (reads 200 miles to the gallon!) ... brake gently and check the "average" miles per gallon (must have saved the worlds ozone layer by now?).

Expected to do oodels of miles to the gallon but only average 48.8 ish? nowhere near the 200 miles per gallon when I'm going down hill ?

but in general It's a Very nice car and when I've learnt "Chekizlovakian" I'm sure the milage will improve toO ?

That's it for now my finger is sore pressing these buttons for so long .

HA HA, welcome!!

just keep telling yourself its a VAG ! emoticon-0136-giggle.gif thats what i do emoticon-0148-yes.gif
