Blackberry Curve 8520 & RSAP

Featured Replies

Not sure if anyone else is having problems, but my new Blackberry Curve 8520 refused to connect using RSAP (yes, it was activated!) even though it was getting as far as entering the 16 digit pass code.

I had a good wander around the various forums that recommended various sequences of connection but without success.

I noted on the blackberry website however that it was still possible to downgrade the handset software from version 5 to version 4.6.

I tried this, and hey presto, I am connected and running.

v4.6.1.314 on Orange

I have a bb 8900 on Orange on 4.6.1.206. This did work for a while (used to take ages to connect but worked), now it doesn't. Have deleted the pairings on both, gets to the 16 digit code and the car says connection failed even though the blackberry still thinks its connecting.

My out of hours 8900 does exactly the same. I am tearing my hair out with it because i especially need the out of hours phone to work. My Nokia N86 on the other hand works perfectly!

I have a blackberry curve also which worked fine on first connection. now it does not work at all and this is driving me nuts!

I am with 02 does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to connect again and also how to wipe off other peoples mobile phones from the memory of my skoda superb elegance 09 plate.

would be much appreciated

Read somewhere that if you turn sim access profile off and the back on again on your bb it resolves it - yet to try on mine yet...

Exaclty the same as mine and not working. This is so frustrating.

I guess depends on company security policies.

Thankfully my personal phone works a treat,

hmm could explain why both suddenly stop working for me but they are on different BES's with different policies. Will have to see if any updates have been made when i'm back in work. I suspect not though and it is just the bluetooth module throwing a fit. Does anyone know how to had rest these?
