Retro fit cruise control?

Featured Replies

I'm enjoying hugely my new Roomster but I wish I had ordered it with cruise control, I've asked the dealer if it can be retro-fitted an he says it can and will get back to me with a price. Anyone here either got CC or had it fitted after purchase and do you think it's worth while?

It can be done, but it's not an easy job. It necessitates an additional wiring harness being installed between the passenger and engine compartments, cutting a hole in the scuttle. There was correspondence on the site a year or so ago.

As already said, it's not as easy as other Skoda's due to routeing the wireing loom. but it can be done.

Blimey thats rediculous, no wonder people come and see us specialists lol

Sadly nothing like a Fabia 1 its like a Fabia 2. They have done away with the bulkhead connection point and it's one loom from in the car to the bay. Also the dash is all one piece with no lower trim to remove. If you want to get to the upper relays it's dash out lol.

Turns out that at the moment it's only a factory fit, can't be done at the dealers. This is only for '10 reg cars and newer, so I'm assuming it's because of the new engines.

Oh well...
