Bmw 1 Series

Featured Replies

Not a great admirer of Bangle's work I can't stand the 1 series or new 5. I do really like the new 6 though and admit that the Z4 is a huge improvement over the camp Z3. Think this style may date though just look at the Fiat Coupe which he did a few years ago.

I'd sort of disagree with that. The (non-enthusiast) car buying public would rather have something with the 'right' badge on it rather than something that drives well. The current Ford Focus & Mondeo drive very well' date=' but most people would rather have an Audi A3 or A4, which don't drive so well.

Take Skoda, for example. Our cars are built from pretty much the same components as Audi or VW (and cost less). But, most people would take the Audi first, then the VW, then the Skoda. No?[/quote']

I can not comment on how the A3 or A4 drive as I never have driven them, but the out going Focus is **** to drive and the Mondeo is OK, but needs a big engine to be decent (2.0L I drive very heavy and sluggish).

I hate the look of the BMW but have to admit that I prefer RWD, grew up with it, not having to fight the steering when accelerating is bliss :)
