rattling noise/ very slight grinding when pulling away

Featured Replies

Hi folks I have a rattling noise when pulling away which i think is coming from my engine cover hitting my seat strut brace, also there is a very slight grinding when pulling away and changing gear.

I think it may be my bottom engine mount worn and giving the engine movement back and forward. just looking for anyone who has had the same problem and resolved the issue. I do have my vrs remapped and i do like to give it some beans now and again as do we all, so my engine mounts have probably took a fair amount of movement.

Thank you for any help.

I think you have answered your own question. Could also be early DMF failure or release bearing.

Could also be early DMF failure...

Those were my symptoms. Mine was changed as soon as I noticed the noise.

Noise all gone now but so's £600 :(
