nobody?

I didn't fit my rear suspension, got the garage to do it. They did use a spring compressor so they could get the old one out though. Can't help any more than that I'm afraid, sorry.

Usually disconnect the lower damper bolt and let the arms swing down then lever at the bottom of the spring and pop it out.

I got my broken springs out with just the damper off but could not get the new std springs in without lowering the front of the trailing arm , the spring ends up bent and lowering the arm was the only way . I didnt try spring compressors but the bend in the spring when fitted would have made my normal compressors pretty useless. if you do drop the front mount , mark it first to help, then get the alignment checked after, mine was a long way off what it should have been

You need to undo the lower damper.

Undo the top and bottom tiebar on the hub side.

Then you can pull the Arm down and try remove your spring.

If you find its still hard to get out then undo and pull out the drive sharft from the hub and this will let you drop the arm all the way.

You need to put it up on a ramp as doing this on a drive way would be a pain in the ass.

Perfect!

Never seen an adjustable bottom tie bar before only the top ones.

You can do them both.

I just needed to pull it in at the bottom :p

Is it home made?Benefits?

When I lowered mine I found that the rear tyres were wearing rapidly on the inside. The 4x4 track control arms are non adjustable so I got some tca's from a Golf R32 which are adjustable.

This i what i had when i lowerd it :giggle: but as i lowerd my 4x4 so there is only about a 10mm gap between the tyre and arch the camber was way out
