I have noticed in my car that the heated mirrors only come on when the rear window heater button is turned on. The mirror adjuster knob is always facing the heated symbol.

Oh er, I wondered why my mirrors did not demist this morning.

Mine ( since I was out a wee run there about 10;45) appear to demist independent of the rear screen.
