Jack points

Featured Replies

Washed my Thermisto alloys and was going to take them off to apply Poorboy sealant. Read the manual as to where the jack points should be (seemingly indicated by arrows on the lower sill) but I can't for the life of me see them on either side of the car. My old Passat definitely had indicator arrows. Any suggestions (photos or diagrams)? Sure I'm being an idiot. Thanks!

On my Octy, I think you'll only see the arrows with the doors open.

I can't see mine either........I THINK they've been obscured by the sealant. However, if you look where they're supposed to be by the handbook and then run your finger along the lower sill you can definitely feel indentations in the sill in all 4 places.I had to lie down on my side and put my glasses on!! :giggle:

Thanks folks. ;) You are quite right, they are more like indentations rather than arrows, but I did find them and managed to take the wheels off to apply the sealant. Works a treat, still shining after a week of driving along country dirt roads!
