Sold my vRS :-(

Featured Replies

Well at the end of this week i'll no longer be a Fabia vRS owner. I didn't want to sell it at all and not looking forward to watching it drive away :'(

Had to sell my car due to job loss but i don't plan on scrounging off the state very long so i'm buying a van with a view of starting my own business! Aslong as it pays the bills i'll be happy.

The van of choice is a VW Caddy TDi so least i'll be staying VAG!

So heres the final pics of my vRS before it goes to it's new owner at the end of this week :'(

I'm really sorry to hear you lost your job and I'm REALLY sorry to hear you had to sell the furby, it looked very nice indeed.

And congratulations on the attitude! Good luck with the new business - what are you going to be doing?

ps - I think the Caddy is 100bhp? And being a white panel van that power output is automatically doubled, so it should go well!

Nicely done up... real shame you had to sell it, times are hard

Hope your business plan works out for the best..

Cheers guys, I just plan on doing dribs and drabs really, main focus is to start couriering so be ringing round companies when I get a van

I'm hating sitting about doing nothing, dunno how so many people can enjoy being un employed!

You can get the Caddy with 2.0TDI 140PS - I ran out of straight trying to get past one in my Lupo GTi (well, I'm making the assumption it was a 140  ). Mind you, think they weigh a shade under 2000kg!

Best of luck with your venture  .

good luck emoticon-0148-yes.gif

It's just a 104 i'm going for as thats all that falls into my budget and i don't want an SDi

Be so gutted to see it go but needs must

You gonna do some homers if I need anything done? What splitter is that? How much is it and how easy to fit?

I also want the 160 intake fitted before this RR meet someone will need to help me fit it I'm useless with anything technical

It's not valeting i'm gonna be doing lol but if you need anything else done, something couriered etc let me know

The PD160 intake is easy to fit and it's an LCR splitter mate, it cost me £18 and it's pee easy to fit

All the best with your venture, and hope it leads on the bigger things :)

Paul :(

but but but

:'(

man love

;)

Saw the ad on Pistonheads and thought about ringing you about the car though I see its sold now... Think the other one in tollcross will be getting a second look now. Good luck with the job. If I'm after anyone with a van I'll give you a shout. Maybe get a man with van ad in Gumtree, a mate did that and is doing removals a lot now. Also, if you can find somewhere to use as a legal dump then large item collections for garden waste and the like are a pretty good earner. Guy with a Van came round to take away all the stuff from doing our bathroom up and it was £90... only took him about 30 mins to load up and he was away.

Good luck with the business, I like your attitude. Hope you make loads of dish and end up with a Ferrari.

Cheers dougie, i'd appreciate the business and i like the suggestion aswell :)

Cheers Moggy appreciate it :)

Appreciate everyones comforting words and well wishes, times are hard indeed but i'm not sitting back and giving up! I'm absolutely hating this doing nothing palarva! I'm collecting a Caddy on Saturday so as of Monday i'll be available for hire :)

Oh, another wee idea... put some fliers around Ikea or all the bed and bathroom or furniture shops around, even give the staff a card with your number and tell em you'll drop off a six pack if you get a few referrals from them. There are always folk looking for reasonably good delivery prices at those type of stores. Theres hundreds of them round Hillington.

I'm based in Hamilton so for the cost it'd probably not be worth my while going as far as hillington but definately an idea for around the local area where it's gonna be worth my while :)

What headlights are they?
