Springy "thing" behind OS headlight

What's the springy thing behind the offside headlight for? It seems to me its only purpose in life is to make changing the bulbs more difficult...

I wondered the exact same thing when I swapped my side light bulbs the other week! It made the job a right ballache, the battery side was a doddle as the plastic cover on the back of the headlight could be removed easily. Sorry I can't answer the question though!

Close.. its actually the pin to hold the RTG module in place to power the car. :thumbup:
