When the doors are open on a fabia vrs should the buzzer go if you leave the lights on? mines doesnt do it but my old ibiza used to, hense why im asking. thanks guys.

Yes it's a 'bong' sound, also used as a warning for other items as well, like coolant level, icy conditions etc. If it doesn't sound at all for the other things, it's a faulty dash insert.

Check that the door switch is actually working, eg. does the interior light go on/off as you open and close the drivers door. If the light stays off then the switch is faulty and why your buzzer does not sound.

the interior light comes on every time. so you think it will be the switch for the headlights that needs replaced?

Had a look to see if some type of switch was visible in door/pillars, none to be seen/found.??

Can't see what triggers sensors for interior light etc, when door opens.??

The door doesn't use pin switches, the switch is inside the door lock assembly, and not available as a separate part,
