Power steering draws power from battery, leaving less power (voltage?) for your headlights. Mine does it too. Dunno if this means you need a new battery, or it's just something that happens.

Edit: Dunno if it's a "fault" per se.

Edit 2: Could get battery and alternator checked to be sure.

hope that's all it is :-/

Slight dimming is normal. Mine did it from when I bought it. It's just the load of the PAS pump.

I bet you see this when you are stationary and turning the wheel, but dont see this when you are on the move ?

My Furby vrs did this, its because when you turn the steering wheel when stopped the resistance from the road is greater than if you are moving, so the powered assistance needs more juice to move the wheels against the road.

If this happens while youre on the move, then it may be worth getting the power steering checked out, if you dont see it on the move , then dont worry, its normal.

Yeah, mine does it too. Only really noticed the other day myself after about a year of ownership, but I know it's just something to do with the PAS pump :-)

if it dims a lot it could be a sign of the battery starting to fail, a slight dimming when stationary is normal as already mentioned.

You'll be amazed at the power take-up of the PAS pump in operation. It has a lot of work to do. :)

Flux Capacitor running low

try driving at 88mph for a few miles to sort it out

:)

My headlight's dips if rev's are low, and turning steering wheel, if the engine is revved-up lights become bright again.

It's a trait of our car model steering set-up, as it's using electrical assistance from battery.emoticon-0148-yes.gif
