The fully loaded Superb on the floor was sold alas. And a Scout will only come in six months... and a two Yeti family is a bit daft in my book (not matter that with every car we consider the circle just points back at yes, another Yeti!).

Still undecided then emoticon-0112-wondering.gif There was a smart candy white (standard) Octy 4x4 TSI there when I dropped Pat off; not to your taste or also sold emoticon-0112-wondering.gif

Regards,

TP

That white Octavia is the one that is in James's signature at the moment. Definitely NOT to our taste! It looks like something the Government would buy a land surveyor covering the Scottish Highlands! emoticon-0136-giggle.gif No, when it comes to Octavias only the Scout will do as that looks the business and they are very scarce (hence liking them even more). BUT they also don't make an Elegance spec Scout so near ALL the tasty bits have to be added as expensive options. Not clever Mr Skoda. Especially when for the £22,000 James had worked out we can also get a three year old 3,0d Range Rover... (with all the added running costs, I know, but still... ) Choices still up in the air at the moment.

Yes is a bit high price against trim, particularly compared to a Yeti. My Octavia I 4x4 only came in Elegance trim and one engine choice 1.8 T 20v emoticon-0100-smile.gif

Anyway go on persuade yourself you need another Monster emoticon-0144-nod.gif

It is the best car out there for sure, but life is too short to live the same movie twice in my book. Especially if you still have the first one in the DVD player! Your case is different TP as you never had any of your three monster all at once. But two at the same time? No that would bore me to tears. emoticon-0145-shake.gif

Aye, but only DSG will do and they only went into production (for the first time ever) about a week ago, according to James!

'Hens teeth' spring to mind for finding one of those then any time soon emoticon-0106-crying.gif Might have to bite the bullet if a matching pair is out of bounds emoticon-0140-rofl.gif Think a Scout would be a better bet than a used L/RR and I suspect hold it's value being DSG.

I met the famous Pat Monster today, sitting in its natural environment. emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Did you drop your wheels off Mike?

Hi Nigel, yes, that was the main reason for going out and risking life & limb driving across to Epsom on the roads, not pleasant in the Polo on summer tyres. Just took it carefully. Traffic lights seem to be the worst place for starting off. Had no problems reversing off drive or driving back on.

I thought Pat had a bit of a reputation on summer tyres. Perhaps Pat should be renamed Ann Widdecombe!! (in joke for BBC1 viewers)
