CAR STOLEN! Silver Fabia VRS - WORKSOP, NOTTS

Featured Replies

Sorry to hear this - but glad the family are Ok and hopefully not too unsettled by the whole event.

I cover 7 counties across Midlands, down as far as Bristol, so will keep a look out too. Other half covers the whole Uk, so will get him to keep eye out as well.

Hope things are sorted out quickly for you.

Sarah

Very noticeble car ! sure someone would spot that if seen . Ill keep my eye out for her as i travel about to sheffield to work . Glad the family is ok .

As you may, or may not know, (seperate thread) I came within seconds of having my vRS stolen in similar circumstances just a few weeks ago.

At least the brain dead scrote here didn't smash his way in to steal the keys though, and then being the absolute breath wasting thicko he obviously is, he couldn't find reverse gear to complete his theft.

I feel the gut wrenching agonising pain for you Rik. Horrible horrible experience, only yours must be 100 times worse than mine was.

As long as you and the family are physically ok though, that's the most important thing.

Sorry to here all this dude, im in the area as you know (unfortunatly) so il be keeping an eye for sure, I imagine its not round here anymore but you never know. Good luck with sorting the house and the insurance mate, at least everyone is safe, cars can be replaced .

W**kers!!!... most end up in bits on ebay so keep a look out for bits you recognise

I'll let you know if i get any calls asking if i want to buy one (i break skodas)

Tea leafing barstewards!!!! I'd love to get my hands on some scum like them....................

I'll keep my eyes open, as long as it hasn't gone direct to a lock up to be stripped, it might just still be knocking around.

So sorry to hear about what you're going through, especially as the scum bags broke into your home. Again, it is just an item, even if it as cherished at anyone elses here.............just as long as you and the family are all ok. These dirty gets don't care about the upset they cause. :S

This happened to someone i know.

His Sierra Cosworth was parked outside someones house with no fuel in it, was in the house for lets say 30 minutes to return outside and the car not there.

The good news is it was found by police in a town not far from where it was stolen in a garage the dumb-asses left the door at the garage open and the car on show with the reg plates still on!

The not so good news was it was in bits!!

Heres hoping you get it back in one piece!

Is that you in the paper today mate?

Yes, phoned to get them to make people aware. Was not expecting to have a story done but if it helps then its good.

Excellent. Wish I'd done theat now, as this is becoming so prevalant now.

Times are becoming desperate for some of these bass turds.

I 've become paranoid about where my keys are now, especially at night.

these sort of crimes will be on the rise as more people are becoming unemployed etc

Such a good job the police have had their budgets cut by the Tories then... :dull:

Thread pinned.

This is why I put my car keys under my pillow each night.

Sorry to hear about your theft mate :(

My car keys sleep with the Dog....emoticon-0143-smirk.gif

Does anyone know if it's just VRS models that are getting nicked like this or more "ordinary" types as well?

I know of someone who had a Golf GT taken this way in the last year. Mind you, silly person left the keys in the front door

hot hatches like ST's, VRS' etc are increasingly stolen as so many around they blend in on way to commit another, likely serious, crime.

Sorry to hear that matey. I had them break into my house looking for the keys to my vRS last year. The little f**kers had even scrapped the ice of the windscreen ready to take it. What they had not factored was that my bedroom is downstairs and they were not expecting a very angry welshman come charging after them. They made off in a Lean FR (probably nicked as well) which the local plod chased for 20 mins before they lost them. Ive had a tracker fitted to the car from new, but thats not the point. We all work hard to be able to buy these cars and take pride in them only for some little workshy pickey to come into my home and try and take it away. I was so angry for weeks after, and still feel angry talking about it now! Its all the hassle, paranoia and anger after that is the worst thing. Like others have said, the car can be replaced and the kids were OK.

To give you some comfort, I work as a paramedic and over the years Ive been to loads of these little ba***rds when they crash the car during a police chase. Let me tell you they dont get any sympathy and very little pain relief from me.

How is it possible to answer that?! If the opportunity arises to the wrong person, they`ll nick anything.

One of the reasons i got rid of my Subaru, after having it almost taken from the drive 2 times.Well the 2nd time they managed to by pass the alarm and push it onto the road, but then had problems with the steering wheel lock and i am a light sleeper, chased the feckers into the park but were not caught..Had a new alarm fitted(Was told by the Toad alarm guy that whoever fitted the previous alarm did it wrong),then was a wheel clamp purchased plus my steering lock.Kept it for a bout 8 months after but everywhere i left it parked lads would be walking by giving it that certain look, and so i then got rid of it..I actually prefer driving my vrs anyhow..
