CAR STOLEN! Silver Fabia VRS - WORKSOP, NOTTS

Featured Replies

0130 this morning we woke with the kids crying and the house alarm sounding. Went downstairs to find paving slab put through the patio door. Then heard shouting from the drive, looked through peep hole to see VRS being reversed and drive off at speed! Luckily the wifes ST keys were out of sight so that is still here.

Anyway, please can you look out for my car. It is on private plate H20 RLT but is a 53 plate really. Has facelight rear lights. metallic silver. Gunmetal alloys with VRS middles, steering wheel also has VRS badge. Has silver retro rear skoda badge and black retro front skoda badge. Finally the fabia badge has been removed. Lots of things which make it stand out.

I live in Worksop, Notts and I know there are lots of you guys around this area. Please look out for the car, hopefully these sh**heads can be caught.

The main thing is we and the kids are all okay and also the ST is still here.

omg dude.. hope you and the family are all ok.. i would have killed them. will look out for you i work all over.. ive got a rottweier for our alarm. i also think that your car was stolen to order, sorry dude!!!

Filthy f**kers!

Should be cought and have a hand chopped off!

Glad you all ok tho, Id of been out in the other car following it as the missus called the cops. Mind I think the cops would come to mine fast lol, specially as I have a nice close range weapon.

Id bloody use it too if I had to!

SKUM.

Ill keep my eyes open for it mate, never know might end up down Brizl way. Good luck mate.

bil

Will keep a sharp look-out down here in rainy Southwest Cornwall - - - - rik_t

As you say your car does stand out.

They were pretty brazen to break and enter your home with the sole purpose (hopefully) on taking just the car keys only.

We live in such a violent world it seems now, compared to my days in the 1950s/60s/70s.

Cannot understand why there is conflict over greed or in the name of religion.

I do hope your car is recovered intact and quickly.emoticon-0106-crying.gif

BARSTEWARDS!!!

We had our Fabia stolen in January by them breaking in and staling the keys.

Good look geting it back

Ours was found in Liverpool on false plates but the insurance had already paid out for a new one as it was less than a year old!!

Sadly not the case for you

That really sucks. I used to live in Worksop, and I know what its like! when I moved up to cumbria my car insurance dropped by £60 and it was only £360 to start with! so that makes it about 17% more likley to be stolen in the 'sop! eek!

hope you get it back, and hope your insurance company pay up if you dont ....

Sorry to hear this mate :'( no one deserves this kind of crap. Hope the little C-Units get whats coming to them

Very sorry to hear about this Rik. Hope your Missus & Kids aren't too distressed by it all. It is such a violation when someone breaks into your home, especially when you're there. Pure Scum.

I will keep an eye out down this way. Based on the mods you have done it should be easier to spot than a standard one. Hopefully with a good network of VRS owners on here it will be found.

All the best to you and yours.

Sorry to be reading this :(

Hope you it resolved without any issues.

So far £250 car insurance excess, £50 on top for my protected NCB. Then £100 home insurance excess. So £400 so far! Not including my home insurance has lost 6 years NCB!

Going to cost a fortune, just hope I get paid out well for the car, it was 53 plate but only had 48K.

What tw*ts, Sorry to hear this m8. I live/work all around notts so ill be keeping an eye out!

Sorry to hear this,

Still early days yet mate, and if the car was taken with the keys chances are if it comes back it'll be in okay condition.

Also if the insurers offer you tuppence for the car DO NOT accept it, find other examples for more money

sorry to read this mate, at least you & yours are safe and well. had some tw@ts fishing for my keys last month through the letter box but they set the house alarm off, hate to think what i'd have done if they came in the back way like your mob did & i'd met up with 'em ......... let 'em go ? cars insured; or attempt to beat the living **** out of 'em until Plod turns up. Our local Police are really first rate when responding incidents like this

Good luck, hope you get you motor back & the scroats banged up

will keep look out round suffolk

Might sound strange, but put a recent pic up.. it may help spotting it

Im really glad the family is ok.. After all its just an item and can be replaced

Yeah agree with Mr Mul get a pic up cuz chances are it won't stay in taht area for long. I'm in the north west and will keep an eye out, also keep a look out on ebay and autotrader in case it's not a stolen to order and they're trying to flog it through online auctions etc.

Nope, I really am worrying about what I'm going to get from the insurance now. It was a 53 plate but did only have 48k on the clock. When I look on autotrader I can only find newer models with that miliage and they are going for around £6k. Mine was insured for £5k but not sure if that means I will get it or not?

Also anyone know if the Recaro kids seats will be covered as the two of them come to £300.

Also what I need to do about the private plate I have registered to the stolen car?

Another consideration is stolen vehicles, which are never recovered. If you find yourself in this situation, you may be able to have the registration number re-assigned as long as the theft was reported to the police and the DVLA have had a record of the incident for at least 12 months. The stolen vehicle must also have had a valid MOT certificate, if applicable and tax disc, at the time of the theft. You will also need permission from your insurance company, since they would have the rightful ownership of the vehicle if it were to be recovered.

Sorry....

I'll have to have a word with the insurance on Monday when they call me to see what they say.

Any ideas on the other questions?

You'll have to wait 12 months at least before the DVLA will reassign the plate. The reason being, if the car does turn up driving around on your plate then an ANPR camera will trigger as stolen. You dont want to have the plate also on your replacement car, since it will also be ANPR flagged as stolen and you will be forever being stopped for driving a stolen car.

Sorry to hear this. Doesn't help but it's "only" a car and it can be replaced. These sc*mbags don't think of the inconvenience they're causing.

as long as the mrs and kids are ok thats all that matters and im in kirkby and work in notts so im on the look out

I'll keep a lookout in south and west Yorkshire, these sort of crimes will be on the rise as more people are becoming unemployed etc
