Build dates "disappeared"

Featured Replies

All this chat about build dates made me worried. Mine was due to be built this week. The dealer has said that it IS confirmed for building this week. Phew!!!!

Johann and his Yeti - I kind of imagine them running together along the beach when it arrives, and embracing, like those moving weepy romance movies...emoticon-0100-smile.gif

Hope it IS soon for you, and you fall in love like what i 'ave!

How romantic.

Great news, you are getting the identical model & colour as us, and after 2000 miles or so we've never regretted it for a second. We love the Pacific blue, really seems to suit the car.

Thanks gp001 - I live in London zone 2 and the dealer is still within the M25. So I will have to "invent" a long way home! Which won't be difficult. emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

+1

Same model and colour as me too!

I've been waiting since August 19th and still can't believe it's going to happen. Build week 46 alledgedly...

Like some others here I shall be saying goodbye to a very much loved car (a 2000 W reg FIAT Multipla 1.6 owned since new with 122,000 miles up in my case) when my Yeti eventually brakes cover.

I'm really looking forward to getting behind the wheel of my Yeti but I shall miss the celebrity status that has been with us for ten years now. I shall miss the sweet revvy 16 valve engine that just begs to be thrashed yet remains as flexible as a rubber band when being driven sensibly; the looks and smiles from all sorts of folks young and old and most definitely the shear space that the car manages to provide for everyone on board.

My wife said she wouldn't be seen dead in the Multipla when we bought it - now I'm in fear of her hiring a contract killer because I've signed it away for a SKODA. Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh that made me smile. Awh...

I can't sleep. I'm so stressed about selling the A2. I've always traded my cars in but could not get it over my heart to trade him in and think of him just going to an auction. So someone from the A2OC coming from Newcastle on Saturday to look and probably take him away up north and keep looking after him. Still stressing me big time. Oh well. Life goes on.

I too have to find a good home for a Multipla as I pick up my Yeti tomorrow.

I have just had the call - I have a chassis number and a Yeti on its way to me.emoticon-0144-nod.gif

Just phoned Skoda UK and they told me my SM won't be available until the start of March. Given that I ordered in August and was told "build week 47", I am absolutely gutted. Other than a Morgan is there any car with a lead time that long? 7 months ffs!!! :( :(

This is really worrying and hardly acceptable. I am waiting for a phone call re the electric mirrors fiasco and will check on my build date: I also ordered in August and was given a week 48 build before that disappeared.

I hope you have better luck than me... I was told that part of the reason was that I ordered the 140 DSG (apparently in very short supply) so you may fare better...

Not really - see my posts on the thread 'Skoda cares?' - I have been told I may have to wait until April for my SM (ordered mid-August) because I specified the 170 diesel which is also apparently in short supply. Which engines aren't, I wonder?

Possible & I hope 110 TDI 4x4 (see engine & trim survey)

Only for Pedestrians mind ;)
