Remapped + more ey? Intriguing! ;)

Hellfire i'd be interested in some video clips, so get em posted

That said remapping is quite an interesting process and can be quite disconcerting for a first time experience.....literially sounds if your motors going to blow up and you can feel the vibrations of the rr through the floor.
I left the (old) premises when mine was being remapped. With front and rear wheels driving the RR, the noise and vibration was far too much for my mechanical sensibilities. :(

Cor blimey now you've got me worried!

Not to worry...it's just that as an owner you rarely..if ever...get to hear what your car sounds like under full load.

Remember listening to Jon RS being remapped....I'm sure the bay doors were pitted from his H&S exhaust! :D

The main reason I'm considering a remap would be to widen the powerband a little. It's pretty nice as it is, but if the Mrs learns how to drive (finally) I don't want her to hit the power band and suddenly rocket (on the other hand, I'd like it :D :D)

Will see how it works out a couple of years down the line

I thought that too, the Mrs says she cant tell until you really plant your foot. It doesnt feel like it going 30-40% quicker, maybe 20% but then you look at the speedo and i'm not joking it just accelerates faster than most cars on the road. During day to day driving it's more of an aid and you dont have to work the engine to get performance. Mike specifically tuned mine for a wide powerband and power through every gear as opposed to 0-60 runs. This is much better as 99.9% of anyones driving is in gear acceleration, and at that there is nothing better.

Basically to summize, however much you are pressing the accelerator pedal on a standard furby, you get 30-40% more at the same point on my remapped one, and full throttle is great.

Maybe i'm nannying it too much as the traction control seems much less intrusive than before, I think Mike may have played around with this also, and it's the way all vRS's should be.

At least the flame marks washed off the doors :D

Mine sounded lovely, but then I was used to it being driven to within an inch of its life :D

Have to agree the TC comes on alot less now than it did before (maybe in the back of my mind I'm being careful) I think it's because the power curve is much more smoother. It just pulls in every gear with out any drama!!

Yeah, it pulls harder for longer but much smoother, so you dont get the usual diesel on boost off boost thing where you hurtle forward then change gear and wait for it...

You know what I mean!

You know what I mean!

Yep! :D Even in my lowly Jabba'd PD100 I get the same sensation. whack it right up to 4500rpm in 2nd, straight to 3rd, boost there right away! Even changing from 2nd at 3000rpm, into third at 2200rpm(ish) the boost is just there waiting to power you up to over 70! :D

Lowly PD 100? I thought they were pretty quick, especially a Jabba'd one, not many cars will keep pace in the mid range. Mid 8 seconds i'd say!

I was only being a bit sarcastic in comparison to a chipped pd130. ;)

Yeah - 0 to 60 is now around 8.5 in the right conditions, but the mid range is very nice - 3rd gear is my favourite now. :D 20mph, gentle bit of throttle to 30mph, then WOT and 80 comes up in no time. I want faster still though! :( ;)

Well it's official how quick it is, me and my brother just had a quick fling on our private track and i pulled on him in every gear in the first sprint but due to weather conditions took it easy(ish), the problem I found on the second go was that his car had better traction than me who was still sliding in 3rd, I couldnt get the power down, so the second time he pulled on me 1-2 car lengths, if it were a 0-100 though from a standing start then i'd have it, only by a small bit though, round twisties in the wet the Fabia has no hope with all that power. In the dry me thinks I would wipe the floor with it though

Now onto the usual question, what next? Exhaust? and how much is a Hybrid turbo?

Only joking I'm sure you can still get more out of yours if you wanted to ;)

Oh yeah! ;)

Hmmmm, larger injectors. ;) Exhaust is already sorted, I'm just waiting for some way of getting a bit more power down the str8-thru pipe. :D

You taken any video clips yet Hellfire, cant wait to see that baby flying :D
