** UPDATE ** Just been Jabba'd :)

Well got it done this morning

195 bhp and 438nm of Torque (323lb/ft) was the max Mike could get, he turned it down due to clutch slippage to 192 bhp & 408nm (300lb/ft). He said that had I done more miles i.e. 15k or more & used BP Ultimate with an Octane Booster I should see the 200 BHP mark on full, and about 196 bhp during normal use.

They have also confirmed that my car made 10 more bhp and 7 lb/ft more torque with the PD Cupra Intake over the standard OEM Intake :D, it's official it works!

Not a bad days run, I can't believe how quick it is now, 60 must arive around the 6 second mark, and torque is just never ending even in 6th, it's a completely different car.

So there you have it, a car with 192 bhp and 300+ lb ft of torque with only 5k on the clock.

Very nice, bet the traction control comes on song in most gears now :)

Should get mine done really but I'm beginning to think my front tyres need replacing before I unleash 180/190 bhp on them.

It honestly doesnt seem to make much difference to the TCS, although in the wet you do tend to slide around more. The best thing is, in every gear at any speed it just seems to pull like a bi@tch

Blimey, yet another jet-propelled roller skate! You haven't mentioned the permanent fixed grin, or is that something only 1.8T owners suffer from post-Jabba? :D

How handy ! :D

So, back to the title of that thread...

Have you made a mistake??

Excellent!

Just a small point - Octane boosters are for petrol! ;) You'll need Cetane booster!! :)

Doesn't seem to have done any harm

What's the effect on insurance? Is there a sliding scale with bhp?

When you let the insurance companies know they take your pants down, the only sliding scale is how far your pants are taken down :D

Anyway nice figures Hellfire

Now you'll need to start with the suspension and brakes, and start saving for a replacement clutch....

I do hope I can afford to get mine done someday :)

 Oh well, I suppose that increased torque has to be balanced by a bending moment.

No clutch slippage yet, insurance cough, of course. and susepnsion etc, the seat sport strut seems to handle it nicely, however I understand the need for uprated brakes now :)

Do you have the pre remap figures to hand? ;)

however I understand the need for uprated brakes now :)

I understand the need even with standard power ;)

BHP was 145 and Torque 328nm (241.93 lb/ft).

Given your comments re insurance, heres hoping you never have to raise the bonnet for an insurance assessor's benefit. They have a nasty habit of walking away and washing their hands...

I always tell the insurance co about every mod, just havent checked the cost on this one yet. If its xxx then you can see why i'm coughing, if it's

OK, can you keep us up to date on this one as the tune up sounds great but the insurance implications might put me off.

I say you will be paying about

It's 0-60 is probably only 1 sec faster (although it feels more), it comes into it's own when you realise it's accelerating at the same speed --> 60, !00 soon creeps up on you!

EDIT --

I'll do one of my dodgy home made videos on my private track tomorrow :)

Chris,

I missed you by 10 mins, got lost on the way there in crowford!!

Mine was tuned to 194bhp thanks to the cupra intake and it's got more miles on it than yours. Michael could have given me more power but he thought it would just give too much clutch slippage and judder.

Overall very impressed, a ton comes up all to quickly!! Power is even smoother than before, michael said this is because of again the cupra intake. Boost has held at 1.6bar (if that makes sense to anyone)

Everyone there was really helpful and friendly :thumbup: to Jabbasport

;)

But seriously good figures there! Looking more and more promising for the time I eventually go back there. ;)

Sorry I missed you mate, it'd of been good to meet up with fellow Briskodians! I got lost too! I got the compliments slip from JabbaSport, and it said on Postland road, I got there at 8.40, luckily I needed all the time as a Milkman told me where it was in the end :)

I say you will be paying about
