i took my octavia 1.9tdi to my local garage last week for an oil and filter change.when i picked the car up they told me to call back in a day or to for the bill as they were having computer problems so i waited 3 days untill i was off work to go and pick up my bill only to discover that they had put 15w40 in will this do any damage as its not what it recomends in the handbook or can i leave it in

Tell'em to drain it and put the right stuff in!...15W40 aint the right stuff, especially for this wintery weather we're coming into. 15W40 is too thick at startup when the engine needs it most. The thinner the oil at startup the quicker it circulates around the important parts.
