Some going that matey!

Why so many in such a short time?

Bet it's been fairly trouble free too ey?

High milers do seem to be more reliable. Never get properly cold I suppose.

Blimey that's a fair few miles what year is the car 2007 ?

Wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a reply.

He'll be too busy out on the road driving somewhere.

Get on fella !

Congrats :) Nothing wrong with a high miler :D Many issues so far?

I've now done 2,000 trouble-plagued miles since buying my SE second-hand in August - greatest mistake of the year! Speedo now c.26,200.

Mine's currently pushing 50k.

Nice one! Mine's coming up to 82,000

Mines just passed 30,000 miles, not bad considering it's nearly 6 years old :)

(mind you it was sat doing nothing in Milton Keynes for 2 years)

i bought mine with 23 on 2months ago, just done 30 :) really pleased with it so far! bushes are knocking a little and the rear doors leak a little but hey, no big deal :)

... and the rear doors leak a little ...

The annoying thing with mine is that I've discovered the leaking rear O/S doors had already had a botched repair - which I strongly suspect, though cannot prove, was done by the supplying dealer under warranty.

I bought it with 2000 miles on it in August 07 but use it for work so have piled the miles on. It barely feels run in and ive kept it sweet replacing and upgrading parts when needed. This includes tt brakes, cupra/powerflex bushes, koni's, eibachs etc. Its been pretty much hassle free bt i had to get the head skimmed once and replaced the turbo recently (through no fault of the car!). I love my car and smile every time i drive it. Il need to stop using it as a company car when its 5years old bt i plan on keeping it forever. Must be skoda love!

how come the head was skimmed and turbo replaced without it being the cars fault?! Or did you blow the head?

The head went at about 80k and the turbo at 97k which i guess is fair innings considering the use ive had of it. Im also sure that i brought it on myself!

I Wouldn't expect that kind of work needed unless it had a hard life!! What makes you think you were the cause?

just clocked over 45.000 miles and just got myself a mot :D only 1 advisory which is oil leak from intercooler pipe but fitting a front mount soon so no need to worry :D

same deal as us, cannot use a car for work after its 5 years old, who do you work for?

Errr, yeah.. I like to think of it as 'firm but fair!!' There B roads are awesome where I live, need i say more?!

With regard to changing the car after 5 years.. I think it is to do with company image or perhaps tax reasons but seems fairly common. I work for a Civil Engineering Contractor, I could of taken a company car, but the toss up between a 1.4tdci Fiesta / cdti corsa and my car was a no brainer!

Mine's on 56k and it's still going strong. Just had the cambelt service and all good. Garage even commented it was odd to still be on the original brake disc at that age, let alone the original pads!

Sadly, a job change in the new year means I won't really need it for much longer. So I'll have to sell it or the Lupo GTI. Oddly, I thought I would never sell the GTI, but the VRS is so much better as an all-round car. It just lacks the feedback on the noise of the Lupo...

mines not the limited edition but it's a 2007 and it just went onto 40,000 last night. i've had it 6 months and not had a minutes bother apart from the leaky doors.

Mine is on 71K now :) still running strong
