OK I've seen this posted before but cant find it. I even printed it out but cant find the piece of paper.

Could somebody please tell me the official Skoda ride heights for the following cars, all Saloon & can you give front & rear levels please

Normal Octavia

Also at what point on the car are they measured. Its time to decide at what level to set the 4x4 at initially.

My opinion, for what its worth, set it at the max height and work from there.

Fabprezza, only one bit of advice at present, PLAN WELL AHEAD, To date my wheels are due in, well somewhen anyway (why arent VAG cars 4 stud), My suspension was sent to the UK by the supplier, well at least most of it, I have enough bits to do 3 corners (or a reliant) Brakes um bit worried as these seem to be coming on OK, Godspeed are making to suit the wheels, at least they have been matched to a 4 stud & I am assured the 5 is the same, t5hese will be ready for collection shortly & as for the !!, well so it goes on.

I want it all well tested before August as I am hoping to do a run through France as a pre Cannonball shakedown but August is creeping up kind of quickly.

At present the car is still 101% standard apart from the Swissol wax.

normal: 134mm

RS: 119mm

Actual:

4x4: 157mm (mine was, and I've heard quite a lot of others are 22/23mm up on the 'normal' rideheight)

KW's are been fitten on thursday, I will advise as to any issues. I plan to fit initally at highest settings, take it for a spin and see how it feels. Then take it down to the RS height and repeat, I cannot see myself going much below for normal road use. Once a "good" level is found the alignment will be done.

The drawings in the brochure show that the clearance figure is measured between the ground and the sill about 6" behind the front of the front door. Figures quoted are for a vehicle carrying average load and three passengers.

(Is that what you were asking, Jon, or had we moved on?)
