Hi Chaps i am new to this site, but i have joined as i have just ordered a Fabia Vrs

and sold my 2 year old Clio 172!!! All in the same week.

Had to get rid of the Clio as it was simply a pain to drive, the car bounced and

Jiggled over even the smallest of bumps and was tiring over a long drive, so as my mother was buying a 1.2 Fabia i had a test of the vRS while she was waiting...It drove superbly and irons out all those rough roads that had the Clio shaking, plus it felt just as quick through the gears!!! I have lost a lot of money but i will take it like a man and hopefully enjoy the Skoda experience

I always find a piggy bank helps. If you have a girlfriend/wife, I find them very expensive, try putting them on the back shelf for a year or two!

In all seriousness, the fabia will save you money in every aspect. You'll love it, I love mine and haven't regreted the purchase one bit!

Think of all the money you will save on insurance and fuel

2-3 Weeks but i have borrowed a friends Alfa as he has a works van, so i am not grounded but will be only 3rd party insurance EEEK.

Is Skodas own insurance any good as the Quote they gave me was nearly the same as i pay for the Clio which is group 16

I would shop around for insurance, also think about the future are you planning any mods, will the insurance company you choose allow mods or allow mods at a sensible price.

Nice warm welcome, The Bods on the Renaultsportclub forum are just obsessed with who has the biggest Woofer and can they fit 20" Alloys to a 1.2 Clio

We are (in the main) a bit more mature round these parts

Looks like renault will be boasting about there 20" ers now.

We here dont have to boast about size ( Do we ? )
