Johann has a car!

Congratulations Johann. Nice to know your long wait is over. Shame about the fuel cap though someone must have put fuel in (at the factory?). How did you resolve the 'electric folding mirror' option? Mine is on order through DtD and I have been told by them today that the electric seats now come with the mirror function. Look forward to your pictures. Enjoy.

Well Johann, when you get home, if you haven't gone north looking for snow emoticon-0140-rofl.gif, let us know what you think after 1 days ownership.

DtD obviously know something that SUK doesn't!

Congratulations Johann, it looks utterly stunning - I suspect the guys on A2OC would love to see it. Thought you were going for the light blue, similar to Crystal? Bet you are glad to have waited for the glass roof option, even though it seems to have been forever.

I've registered here, and spotted your post, as the Yeti is the logical replacement for our FSI in a few years so I'm going to do all my research in preparation. Had a look at one and got that tingling-sensation the A2 gave me the first time I looked around one.

Don't be a stranger at your old pad

Chris (ULP), Marie and (not so) little Johan!

Chris!!!!! Wow. My camping buddies from the A2OC! As you can see I only got the Yeti today. And yes changed the order a few months ago from Aqua blue to Steel grey as well as adding a DSG gearbox and an electric seat.

Well the car is amazing. No more dodging pot holes or slowing to dead slow for speed bumps as I had to in the A2. The TDI sounds like a petrol once it has warmed up. And the whole car is just so quiet.

Lovely sound system. Not quite as good as the A2's BOSE system I might add but mighty fine. And well you don't really need MDI. The Bluetooth streaming worked a treat from my iphone, as did the SD card and then there are six CDs too. Fantastic. Still much more to explore.

I did manage to take some pictures and get the parking disc sorted. So will post these shortly.

I do indeed. That pub is the Palm Tree on the Regent's Canal and about a five minute walk from my house.

I go past it on my way to work - if I run / cycle in - nice part of town...

Brilliant photos Johann

Mike

Glad your day turned out OK in the end.

The strip down must have stopped you in your tracks, the last thing I expect you wanted to see today was the SM undergoing major surgery.

Hope everything goes smoothly over the next couple of days as you become acquainted.

Hi Johann

Great pictures mate. Interesting about the sound system as I had bose in my A3 and really rated it!

If your pictures prove one thing it is that the sunroof is awesome and really suits the car.

I am hoping that it becomes available in the new year when I am in a position to order.

Great pics Johann

Amazing, we share an aquaintance (Frank Bullit) it was Frank (Chris) who persuaded the pair of us to go down the fortwo route when my wife finally plucked up courage to drive. Top bloke, knows his cars

DtD obviously know something that SUK doesn't!

It is. I live in a tiny conservation area which I really, really love. People don't even know it is there and that is just how I like it! Once you get your Yeti we go for a pint at the Palm Tree!

Guys just a huge thank you to all your best wishes yesterday and above. emoticon-0140-rofl.gif It really made the day even better in knowing what a fantastic group of people I'm finally (really) joining. This forum has been the main thing helping me keep my sanity in the last 7 months. But it was worth it. OH yes it was.

I've made some comments in this thread already but I will do a proper post later.
