You will need to give me a week or so to scrub the Rainsports in for my verdict.

Easy, unless I have some really ****e Falkens, don`t get them - even my car manages to light them up in first and second if your a bit rough with the throttle!

why just those two then?

Not much choice for size mate, they both seem to get good reviews :)

And not to bad price wise :). You can get pirellis but harder to come buy and back nearly £200 each again.

:) both look pretty funky too lol

Im aiming to stay around £100 a corner and use easy to come by tyres this time lol

have you looked at t1r toyos very good in the wet and dry

TBH I wouldn't get any of them but ticked the Rainsports as I had some Falken's once and they were probably the worst ditch finders I've ever tried!

215/35/19s dont list toyo t1rs

They list proxe 4 which reviews arnt good, and theres some t1s i beleve on ebay , again not great reviews and not even on toyos site, so replacing would be hard :(

Proxe 4's are ok, I have them on my vRS and previously on my Scooby, they are the replacement for the T1s, I had those on the Scooby too and they were ok but the Proxe 4's are better

I've voted pradas.

Had them on my fabia before, good grip, not a full blown track day tire and don't wear stupidly quick.

Not so good in the wet, brilliant in the dry and surprisingly good in snow (been pointed out by more than 1 person before)

Kev

Hi Lloyd

Have you thought about Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's ?????

My bro has got them on his RS4 and he rates them.

Think I'm going to fit Continental Sport Contact 3's on my new alloys.

Bill.

both a no go for 215/35/19s mate  ive picked another funny size :giggle:

Well pleased with my Rainsports, Would not use anything else.

Currently running 452's, better wet tyre than dry, seem to be wearing well, quiet, would I buy them again probably not. Voted 452's never been a fan of Uniroyals, saying that though not used any for over 10 years.

Ok matey :)

Would save trying to shu people over lol

may be run 225/35/19 ? im new to skodas so dont no if they will fit i ran a 8 inch wide bbs on my mark 4 gti with 225/40/18

i would if was a et35, but i dont think et30 and 225 will be arch friendly :giggle:

Ive posted previously on RS2's and I dont think they can be beat in the wet and the compromise in dry is minimal (and I am a 'spirited' driver). ;)

Ive ran both on powerful fwd hatches and its the RS's for me all day long, every day. This may sound weird but the Falkens are ok in the wet but pulling away on a damp surface is not their strong point imo. I also felt the Falkens start to 'go off' earlier in their life - by 3mm mine didnt grip at all well.

You'll also probably get more votes for Falkens because they are more popular - there seem to be far more Falken dealers than UniRoyal ones, well certainly around here. Id be interested mainly in hearing views from people that have tried both tyres.

have you looked at t1r toyos very good in the wet and dry

They get my vote, got them on my VRS, good tyres, £320 for 4.
