yeah not had any problems yet, got about 14" ish

In my opinion, it all comes down to how you drive and what your tyres are like :)

i think its only the vRS that seems to suffer in snow?

Mine is the vrs with a remap ,

well mines pretty crap to be honest, its not got stuck this year, but I do plan my way around pretty well, running parada spec-2's instead of toyo T1-S this year, both not ideal for winter but it's never been good all 4 years of ownership

Mines crap in the snow, got stuck in all sorts of places while other (most older) cars just went past. Although I am running some budget Arrowspeed tyres which probably aint helping. Traction control light was going crazy the whole time.

tyres can make a big difference, saw a discovery have to turn around on one hill cos it couldnt get traction then a range rover sport tootled up with ease, so would guess that was all down to tryes!

Traction control is off for me in snow, take an element of control away from you, besides the fact that it could stop the wheels spinnin as your going up hill = slow you down = harder to keep momentum and get up the hill....etc lol

My 1.4 was fine in the snow, had 185 tyres on it which were Michilen Energy, so quite hard.

Mines been fine, turned the traction control off. It's got Avon ZZ3's on the front had Uniroyal rainsport2's last year and hasn't got stuck yet. Driven round Lincolnshire last couple of days where roads have been closed and cars getting stuck.

Manchester has had plenty of snow.

Have to say im running on Goodyear eagle F1 GSD3 and they are doing well so far. With the aid of my spade here and there I have only used it once ot twice but thats becuase of pure ice.

Was running them last year with little problems, Have new tyres on for winter but its pure ice atm

I think the vrs is rubbish too.I think theres just to much torque even in high gears etc i live not to far from leek and our little lupo gti is far better i put that down to the close ratio box where as the vrs just spins up etc. i wounder if sticking small wheels like 185 on a vrs would make things better? saying that mines staying on the drive!

yeah maybe nexy yeah i might buy 4 space savers !

Have a Fabia I Classic on 165/70 R14; no real problems getting about as long as I've got the ground clearance. However while our Fabia II on 205/45 R16 worked reasonably well on fresh snow; now compacted the ESP is going nuts trying to keep her in a staight line.

Yer just like to say my vrs has been the most incredible car in the snow. I cant thank it enough for getting me home safe and sound.

I ventured out today in the vRS, took the Defender yesterday. Crawled it down the hill in 1st, felt it start to slide once, but really easy to correct, felt in control the whole time :)

Now I just need to get it back up the hill this evening

The Goodyear's in the snow were the reason I never drove when I saw any white at all last year. I found them truly shocking, even careful driving left me sliding in all directions. They were 'ok' (generous) after a few miles but from cold (ie just before pulling out onto a main road from the house) I'd have more grip tying soap to my feet and running round a swimming pool.

Got T1-R's at the moment and they're not great, but still feel immensely better than the Eagles did.

Loved the Goodyear's in the dry though. Absolutely fantastic!

My vRS is on Toyo T1R's and seems to be coping ok with the weather. In a little test me and some friends did my vRS and a friends mk3 Fiesta 1.8d got up a snowy hill but a mk2 focus and a (lol) BMW 120d couldn't get up it.
