Police Vrs

Featured Replies

My friend has just spotted a police vrs at high speeds in south manchester before. Didnt know greater manchester police were using them, appantly due to the large number of high powered cars in south manchester amounst the asian community, i.e wrx's and stis's, the police answer is the vrs.

Cant wait to see one!

I saw an unmarked vRS on the hard shoulder of the M69 the other week. It had flashy blue lights within the front and rear headlights - quite cool to see them going. He'd just stopped a vectra driver (serves him right!) :D

I wonder if they get the half leather interior on the police models, or if they're done out in cloth trim.

I'd imagine it would be whichever would help the vehicle hold it's value - much like the metallic

silver paint...

Rob.

I've reported elsewhere that the Cambridgeshire Constabulary's Octavia Estates are silver metallic with full Elegance spec - including Climatronic and sunroof.

Cleveland police have exactly the same spec as my vRS.

Met Silver with half leather and all the toys, including Climate Control

I wonder how many front seat covers they go through????

Judging from the size of the average traffic plod around here, i'd say one per week.

:D

Hartlepool, eh? That explains it all.

A question that popped into my mind is, are you allowed to take pictures of police vehicles?

Don't see why not, it's our money that pays for 'em! Though by that token we'd be able to

drive them too... :D

Rob.

video them at cruises - it really p1sses them off.

Only because they don't want people figuring out how their blue lights are so much better

than all the other Max Power ones... ;)

I would say yes, unless they have a prisoner on board for instance.

In fact, if its a Police vehicle committing an offence (illegal parking etc) or a Camera van parked on a pavement (as they tend to do) then i suggest anyone with a camera SHOULD take a pic, as they are committing an offence for which anyone else would be fined.

Then send it to the Chief Constable.

And the local paper ;)

And run the risk of being "Public Enemy No.1" as far as the local Plod is concerned !!!

I think not.

I like to take my showers without fear of picking up the soap thank-you !

Graham ;)

Especially if they see you snapping from a car as distinctive as yours, eh? You'll be victimised for the rest of the ownership of that car. :(

Distinctive ??

If I had thought that I would not have bought it (I am a bit of an introvert really)

Pretentious ? Moi ??

:D

G.

Who said anything about letting them see you do it?

Mmm - must get some of those!

However, if the Feds run 'em that's got to be the ultimate praise!

Do you think Butt's will soon be selling a 'fed kit' for the vRS?

I noticed on the carpages site that it said some forces had used the 1.9tdi fabby :D

Bet they put the bulb covers back properly before setting off for a call... :D
