RS 500 or 2dr Sierra Cosworth

Featured Replies

Has anyone owned either of these?

Saw one the other night with a thunder saloon kit and looked great.

Would I be a fool to pay the rest of the octavia rs and sell it for one of these?

You want to swap in 2003 Octavia vrs for a 1988 (at best) Ford Sierra.

A Cossie would make a great track, competition or weekend car but for day to day use :(

And finding one which hasn't been trashed by boyracers is getting harder as time goes by.

It would just be for a weekend car. A v good rs 500 would cost around

Q many mint ones are available via the rs owners club. Plenty are available for around

My mum's had a 3dr Sierra, RS500 and Escort Cossie. The escort was the best followed by the RS500. Standard the 3dr was pretty dissapointing and the tuned Fiesta RS Turbo which it replaced was better. The garage she bought it from accepted this so tuned for free. I still didn't think it was that good though and she didn't keep it long before replacing it with the RS500.

what was the spec on these two? bhp, engine, figures through gears etc. just wondering if they were very quick or if 16 years has dated them?

That's ugggggggllllllllllyyyyyy!! Sorry mate IMHO I think they are way to 80's and that bodykit is horrid.

Your half right there i am so stuck in the 80's when it comes to cars. The pic really doesnt do it justice, its sick to see it in the flesh!

What the hell have they done to that RS500 ???

An untouched original is money in the bank. That car needs burning ASAP.
