Yeti E ....no fog lights ! (UK)

Featured Replies

Hi! Thankyou to everyone who replied to my Q about the Hill Holder Clutch.

I'm also considering the Yeti E, but apparently its got no fog lights and they aren't on the options list.

Does anyone know where I can access a photo of the front of the E variant?

There is one in my local dealer - never has spending £500 more (on an S) seemed like such good value! E£ has no options, save for metallic paint.

Yes the S model is so much better value than an E in my opinion!

Hi

The front looks the same as the other models because the Daylight Runing Lights are still present, just no fog lights behind the lens.

Would agree with value comments.

I think front fog lights are the most useless invention ever fitted to a car. I have never ever found they improved my visibility, even though I was using them correctly. Imho all they do is give the kids something to play with whilst pretending t be rally drivers. I relise that in real fog they help with things like glare back, but the light they give is so useless in fog thick enough to require fog lights they are rendered all but useless. I would rather use dipped beam and suffer the eye strain, yet be able to see further.

The E was something the marketing people came up with to have a price for the Yeti that starts at "£13,999". I don't think they have actually ever made more than 5 of them. emoticon-0136-giggle.gif Not worth it if you can get an S for just £500 more.

And this very subject was something I wondered about months ago with no firm answer then either:

The residuals on an E would be very weak. So it would be lose, lose all the way.

Why? I think the residuals would be very good since there are no options to be had on an E on which you lose money... emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Its supply/demand. The E is not a popular model and come resale this will mean poor residuals since it will be difficult for the next dealer to move on as nobody wants them unless they are dirt cheap.

You could argue that the E is the best value Yeti as it has all the engineering of the top of the range models bodyshell and design, just less to go wrong in extras. Still prety well equiped though with electric windows aircon and a lot more as standard that we didn't get on my wifes basic Fabia some years ago. At the emd of the day an E and 170bhp elegance with all the extras still have the same life expectancy when new, Yet the E is half the price, although I suspect in practice the 170's will end up in better hands and go on for longer

There are several E's where I work as they are very tax efficient as company cars and drivers get money back as they have not used up their full lease allowance.

I suspect Skoda barely break even on the E, the profit is from those like me who go for the elegance trim

Thankyou All ! .... the latest Yeti E 2.0 TDi, (2WD) 110bhp, according to Skoda's inter-active (UK) site, has got a 6 speed gearbox, and a £390 option of ESP (incl.ebv, asr, eds,dsr)

ERROR / UPDATE: FRIDAY 10th.

SORRY .... Skodastore.com also claimed the 6 speed box, but now tell me it was an error, and say they'll put their website right early next week.

Their dealer who sent me a quote for the car, also says skoda have no intention of changing it from 5 speed.

They also confirmed the ESP option for the yeti E.

I've contacted skoda UK and asked them to confirm their error and correct their website.
