Ive finally found a picture showing exactly the style of bonnet vents im looking for, see the pic below.

Can these be done by a normal bodyshop or are they fibreglass and bonded into the metal?

I sent them an email but awaiting response, i dont think they do them to be honest. Is there anywhere else you can think of?

unless you find a TR7 and cut the vents from the bonnet then have a decent body shop weld and smooth them in for you then your looking at cool louvers or some sad looking plastic stick ons.

I dont really fancy british leyland metal bonded into my bonnet, the quality must be pants. The sprayers used to eat their lunch in the low bake ovens spray booths.

Talk to these people:

From what I know of this company, the TR7 vents are exactly what they can do. So long as there are no bracing bits on the underside of your desired position they will cut as many in as you like.

yea if you do a search im sure they have ben mentioned before.

i did consider them when i had my mk2

and they will not paint iirc, spoke to the guy at length at gti inters one year, they will remove(at a cost )your bonnet press in the louvre and then refit they will lob on a bit of primer for you though, this was 3 years ago.

his suggestion was get a new/used bonnet and get that done and swap over when you get it painted.their stall had loads of pre-pressed wings and doors and also lourves pre pressed ready to wled in

top one ok,bottom one erm well, bottom .
