Milltek vRS TDI Exhaust

Featured Replies

I've contacted Milltek over the past few days about a Milltek Exhaust for the Octavia vRS TDI and this seems to be the latest.

They currently don't do one (as you prob already know).

Development for new exhausts is full until the start of next year.

*IF* or when they start developing one for the TDI then at the very earliest it will be at the end of Q1 of next year.

Realistically it will be summer before we're likely to start seeing any around to buy.

-----this is all assuming they start development at next opportunity-----

He also mentioned that demand can play a part on whether or not they decide to develop one for a car so is it worth starting a 'petition' of sorts to send to Milltek to perhaps encourage them to start it?

So thats it for now I guess! :(

Is it likely to be worth it on a TDI?

Well...Newcastle isn't too far for you to travel I suppose.

There is a company based up here called Advanced Automotive Systems (A.A.S) based in Newburn, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

If you want an exhaust give them a call and ask for either Stu or Alistair.

They have done work for me in the past, previously on my S2000 and their workmanship is second to none. All of their exhaust work is done made to measure and all CNC mandrel bent etc.

I am going to book my Octavia in beginning of next year to get a cat-back system done - I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Hope this helps

just get a custom exhaust. It doesnt have to be loud, if you tell them you what performance with only small increase in noise, most places will be able to do it easily. It'l just require another silencer.

In all fairness, The build quality on miltek isn't spectacular, with ALOT of threads with regards to bad build quality and issues with them.

Have you tried the likes of Piper, Piperwerx, Blueflame etc. All cater for VAGs

Is it likely to be worth it on a TDI?

Yes ive got Twin 76mm (OEM Looking) Milltek Non-Resonated Cat-Back and Milltek DPF Delete downpipe fitted

Car sounds completely different, if you need a TDI for Miles or Economy and miss the sound of a Petrol exhaust then this certainly will put the smile back on your face

I have however considered taking my Milltek Cat-Back off, and getting a straight through pipe fitted like Devonutopia has got on his Fabia

So you just fitted the TFSI Milltek version to the Leon? Do you happen to have before and after dyno runs? Interested to see if there's any performance difference.

I made 3Hp iirc fitting the cat back exhaust to my car, however this was comparing rolling road days before and after on different days, so that could quite easily have been what caused the difference. Im 99% certain that it made no gain to my car other than noise. I would never buy a cat back exhaust again, ill just stick to the downpipe/sports cat instead next time

Yes the TFSI and TDI Part numbers are the same,i had to take my DPF delete pipe back to Milltek HQ Yesterday to have it repaired it was leaking

Yes i do have before and after runs ;) Before 168bhp & 258lb.ft - After 235bhp & 360lb.ft

i had a few other mods and a map done at the same time :p

Any videos sound clips of your motor mate please

I contacted Milltek about this when i got the car back in May. Got basically the same answer. As has been said, they suggested using the Pertol exhaust as it has the same Part No's but i would prefer to buy 1 they have actually fitted and tested on a TDI. Looks like it will be the custom route when i go about changing it.

For the record, i also contacted Piper and Blueflame with similar responces.

if your looking at a custom exhaust i can't recommend these guys highly enough,

Jeepers.......what are the other mods? A Cupra engine???

think thats the full DPF delete exhaust system and the stage 2 remap. nothing a stage 1 tfsi wouldnt be able to sort out. Guys on the seat forum are all saying that the car is neigh on identical in performance to a stock astra VXR, which in all fairness is very very impressive for a diesel. but none the less a stage 1 vRS just has the legs on a standard VXR.

In a way im sort of tempted with a DE-DPF TDI purely for the ability to bring down the cost of track days for me.

Are there any stages of performance upgrades after the De-DPF delete?

When we finally get swmbo's new motor I may have to enforce a few quiet mods, a DPF delete being high on the list after the re-map of course.

you need to do the DPF Delete first and then the Map, Else you will end up with a dashboard full of lights and limp mode aswell as a regenerating car

Yes that is the full DPF Delete package

Who are you going to let map the car. i for one would never let CC map my car without having a gun to my head. Id be tempted with either shark performance or P-Torque. Think P-Torque have done quite alot of these

I think it is a Jetex one

Revo map?

Revo map?

REVO are very good, however i believe they dont offer De-DPF remaps

im not letting anyone map my car as its Already Mapped and has been since March

If i was the poster asking about DPF Delete i would let Shark do it,ive seen atleast 3 cars they have done since. Ive been invited to test out their DPF Delete map to compare it to my Custom Code one but i havent got the time at the moment
