Fuelly

Featured Replies

I see a lot of people using Fuelly on here so I thought I'd ask on here.

It says to fill the whole tank when you use Fuelly for an accurate result but does that include the breather tank or not? If not, what happens if you do like using the breather tank on long trips?

I find that my on board computer is quite a bit out, it said I was doing 66mpg average and Fuelly said I'm doing 51mpg... I presume that's because I'm mapped?

No - that's because the on-board computer is hopeless in the first place. The one on my car seems to underestimate fuel used between 20 and 25%. My dealer has refused to do anything about it and the people here suggests it's a recognised built-in flaw that Skoda haven't rectified.

I just use rough litres to mileage obtained. My car does a right mixture of driving and I seem to get about 150 miles from £20 of diesel which is roughly 50mpg at current fuel prices. To be honest, I am starting to care less and less about economy. :D

I currently use fuelly. I fill up to the click for a 'normal' run. If I do anymore than this I make sure I note the number of litres at the click and add the rest on as a seperate fill up. works for me

It really makes no difference if you fill the expansion tank or just to the 1st click, what is important is that you are consistent in how far you fill the tank(s) up.

i know what you mean,

i drive the focus quite a bit and it does about 20mpg ish, so when i get back in the fabia its ace !
