My new Fabia vRS Combi(estate)

Featured Replies

My Fabia vRS Estate were finally delivered on yesterday! Took only 4,5 months from order to delivery ;) Buildweek was 46, and it took ~4 weeks to transport it from factory to Finland and deliver for me.

Couple of photos from yesterday... Notice snow :) Its winter in Finland... Tires and rimms are only for Winter time. I did choose 17" -Gigaro rimms(anthracite black) for summer wheels. I will post better pictures at later.

edit: added more photos to first post from later posts...

Sweet!

What size/style/make of wheels do you have on at the moment as they look good?...and I can't find any winter tyres to fit the standard wheels. :(

Enjoy the car! :)

Nice looking vRS

Rimms are 16" -Tomason TN3, those because they only cost 89€ -piece and are suitable for roadsalt. In Finland they use roadsalt to defrost roads on winter. Wheels are 205/50/16. Manufacturer recommendation tire size for 16-inch rimms are 205/45/16 because on full load 50-profile tires may scratch on hmm.. innerfender?!? :)

I'll allready also bought H&R lowering springs but i will not install them before spring. Should lower the car ~40mm(4 centimeters) :)

Excellent choice Sir! I saw a white one with black wheels on auto trader and it completely won me over. I like how the green glass looks against the white paint. I think I will order the same white colour and black wheel combination when I get mine. :D

It looks a hell of a lot lower on those 16" wheels than mine does on its 17" vRS alloys and mine`s already been lowered! Thought you had lowered it already until i read the post.

Very impressive looking vRS there, think thats one of the best colours I have seen the Estate in. Waiting to see an estate in blue now!

:) That's because vRS original wheels (my summer wheels) are 17" with 205/40/17 tire and my winter tires are 205/50/16. So with 16" wheel you should normally use 45-profiles tire... With 16" -wheel and 45-profile tire, wheel diameter should be same as 17" wheel with 40-profile tire. If i lower the car for next summer, i think i must buy new winter tires with 45-profile for a next winter :) I bought those tires, even i know they are "too big" because they only cost 280€ (4 piece). But if it looks better with those tires, i dont mind :)

In the best colour of course!!!

Lovely car. It's a shame that the steering wheel's on the wrong side! :giggle:

Those last pictures are stunning, whatever camera you used seems to like that lower light level.

Nice 16" wheels

I've not seen anything like that for a while, and I'm not fan of the combi, but it looks very good B)

Looks very smart indeed. I pick up my vRS Estate tomorrow lunchtime so I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve! :D

I've taken a look at the weather for tomorrow and it's going to be a maximum of -2c and foggy - absolutely perfect conditions for picking up a 180 bhp monster with fat summer tyres... :(

Thanks mate! Should take some photos on daylight also... In Finland we have now so called dark season of year (winter) so we have natural light only couple hours of day.

Waiting to see an estate in blue now!

Pictures of my race blue estate will be on Briskoda Monday evening so not long to wait :)

As you live so close to me (and ask me really nicely) I might even be feeling generous enough to show it to you in person! :D If we park our estates next to each other we can compare styling, ride height, etc.

....

Fantastic car, fantastic color, fantastic photos, fantastic views. Best wishes for you and your car.

Hi! I'm testing a new Fabia Vrs in the morning. I have a Vrs Tdi Oct estate which Ive had for 3.5 years from new. Wait times are horrendous on diesels right now hence me looking at fabia. I need something thats fun to drive, gotta have the DSG box as I'm sick of constantly changing gear in the daily commute. I like to enjoy the power of the Vrs so I'm getting 41.5 mpg on average. Can anyone tell me what the real world mpg figures are like on the Fabia please? Fancied a hatch for a change but the Finnish combi look great in white! Looking forward to the race blue version too!

Driven only about 200 kilometers and my average is 8-9 liters/ 100km. Someone can translate that to mpg :) My friends is working at Skoda retailer and he told that, you must drive couple of thousand kilometers before you motor mpg is "default"...

No welcome.... Silver painted, not the polished metal.

the vrs is already 20mm lower than a standard fabia. the 50 profile means there's less gap between wheel arch and tyre.

if your's is 40mm lower than standard, it's actually only 20mm lower than a vrs. now, with 50 profile it's probably about the same in terms of the above gap.
