Can anyone with modifications (stage 1 remap or above) tell me which insurance company they use and how they rate them?

Thanks

I'm with Adrian Flux for the third year in a row. The renewal came in more expensive this year, but it was the best by far compared to the others. Even Sky and Chris Knott couldn't get anywhere close this year. I've got a remap and the potential to change the wheels, the suspension & the ARB for no extra cost as long as I inform them of any changes. The only alteration that would hike the price up is apparently a more powerful remap. Seems fair to me and compared to a lot of others on here, the price wasn't too bad at all.

Cheers for the reply. I called Flux and their quote was £530! This seemed astonomical considering I'm 36 and with 13 yrs NCD.

So I called my current insurer, Elephant, and after the previous 2 yrs saying they will not insure modifications it seems they've changed their minds. They quoted an extra £40 to cover my projected 25% power increase! Total premium now approx £350.

So hassle your current insurer first, they can and do change their stance on such things.

Elephant wouldn't cover me for some reason although I'm similar to you, in that I'm 37 with 13 years no claims. Location has a lot to do with it though.

Also, the Octavia might be a different risk to the Fabia? Perhaps they think Octavia owners are a bit more mental? :D

Oh how I wish £530 was astronomical... I'm looking at 3 times that for next years insurance... Have discovered that my current postcode is not a good one...
