Uprated bushes

Featured Replies

Consensus for front wishbone is to use the cupra bushes on the rear, and powerflex on the front.

Cannae assist on the other bushes though,,

Oh, and the packet for the wishbone front ones came with everything needed for both sides.

Sorry me again.

Having another look it seems that there are 4 sections

Front Wishbone Front

Front Wishbone Rear

Front Anti roll bar (available in 16, 18 19mm) Which is the standard Vrs diameter??

Rear beam mounting bush.

If I got powerflex it would total about £99.72 from Powerflex. If anyone knows where to get them cheaper that would be great

Are the front antiroll bar bushes essential to change? Or if I'm going to change the others, is it worth doing that too??

Thanks in advance and sorry for being a noob

I have some brand new front powerflex bushes. 45 quid and they are yours

Ok, having just gone through the process of sourcing all these parts for the front end: This is what I have fathomed:

From Powerflex, get :

Front Wishbone bushes (PFF85-201)

Front ARB - 19mm is standard according to Jabba's site (PFF85-603-19)

Both of these, come to about £57 excluding delivery.

Then you have a choice:

2 Seat Cupra R bushes (6LL-407-183) about £18 for both, bought from Awesome, or a Skoda/Seat garage.

or

Powerflex Rear wishbone bushes (PFF85-602), about £45 ex. delivery.

There seems to be mixed opinions about these powerflex rear w/bone bushes, but generally good ones about the Cupra R ones.

I'm doing my front ARB bushes as I'm there anyway, and it's probably good practice. But I'm not touching my rear end at this time.. Console bushes needed doing, so I'm just doing the front bushes :)

I presume you have read this: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/92625-fabia-wishbone-bush-replacement-diy-guide/ ?

Do as he suggests, and get the replacement bolts, they're not much.

Mine are all being done next Friday

Decided against it mate. Havign looked under the car it seems the originals only needed a bit of lubrication. Unfortunately no one wants to buy them...

If in doubt, lube!

What bushes are they? front- front and front- rear??

The new Skoda bushes (Octavia copies) are really good, I had them put on when the bushes went on my Fabia, much better than the old style ones and none of the downsides of the Cupra/Powerflex ones.

Nice little post, very helpfull. However just to avoid any confusion those bushes are from the MK4 Ibiza Cupra and Skoda dealers won't stock them normally.

Anyone fitted the REAR BEAM MOUNTING BUSH

I want to fit the rear beam bush at some point.. As well as Arb and front/rear wishbone bushes!

Just book in with Ali at Unit 18 and he will do them all for you. :)

I'll be doing them myself, more money stopping it rather than anything..
