323m Brembo's

Featured Replies

Hi,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280606554242

Are these the same brakes the Cupra R's run? If no, what are they off of?

Will they fit under 17" Spiders OK? I've read that "Brembo's" need 15mm spacers to go under 17" Spiders but not sure, is there only one type of Brembo for the Fabia or something?

Bit confused really. Can someone help? :)

Cheers

I wanna know this too. Think I'm just gna go 312s ATM cos I'm not doing much more power wise. It's quick enough ATM. So looks for me

It's looks too, it's a whole 11m bigger with a sexy Brembo name on the calliper... Yum yum! :)

You have read the warnings about clearance I take it? Those 4-pot calipers are quite large and you generally need a wide rim with a low offset to fit them. If I recall correctly the LCR wheels have a VERY low offset (might even be single-digit).

I've asked about that set of brembos if they would fit on an octavia vrs and he said yes they will but it's down to the wheels your using.

There an excellent price so hopefully there will be some sets left in the new year :)

Fits inside the rim, but does need spacers of 15mm to allow the spokes of the wheel to clear the calipers :)

yes they are the same as the LCR ones...

as said will need spacers...

if it were me id opt for 20mm hubcentric spacers!

Spiders need a bit of spacing IMO anyway so would look sweet after

Where should I get those from and is 20mm too much?

Is literally that kit and the 15-20mm spacers all that I need?

I think 20mm is a bit much. I would want to use spacers which bolt to the hub and with their own bolt holes you use oem bolts on. With 15mm hubcentrics like the eibach ones from awesomegti (where I got my old ones) you use 15mm longer bolts and they go right throught the spacer.

yeah thats why i said 20mm! 20mm bolt onto the hub independantly then the alloy bolts to them!

the 15mm ones 'sandwich' the spacer by using longer bolts... i personally wouldnt be comfortable with this set up..

only other option would be to change the alloys....

S3 17" Avus wheels are a better option as there 7.5" wide and clear brembo's with no spacer

as do TT comps and the TT 6 spokes apparently.

So could someone link me to the spacers I need for both front and rear please? :)

ive got cupra r wheels and i believe there et32 its not the offset but also the width of the wheels you have to take into account

Can't work out if the brackets are separate or not or if they are externally linked to see if the are the same as the LCR or not.

Tech1e also had some Cupra wheels with a 'standard' offset but the later ones (the ones you usually see for sale) have an offset of 0.

FK 20mm hubcentric spacers

on ebay or europerformance

Can't find them on eBay, just to double check I need 2 sets of these, one for the front and one for the rear and these will be fine for 17" vRS wheels which are 7J? Do I need model specific spacers or will 'FK 20mm hubcentric spacers' fit every car?

Sorry for the dumb questions mate, I've never done anything like this before and don't want to get it wrong.

double check with the vrs experts but they might be of some interest to you

not to far away from you either dont think might be worth a impulse buy

Thanks, I e-mailed him. Will these be OK does anyone know?

Tbh having used 10mm spacers up front I think you are going to be outside the arches with 20mm.

i ran ET20 on coilovers and it touched the arch very slightly on massive bumps.

the spiders are et38 i think? but they are only 7" wide so running them at et18 they may just fit...

i just heard bad things about spacers and longer bolts that why i would rather bolt the spacer to the hub then the wheel to it?

something about the bolts coming loose?

only if the bolts aren't long enough. the spacers that bolt to the hub first are more dangerous due to the amount of thread you have to actually put the bolt into. bolts only come loose with spacers because people air gun the bolt an think its tight where actually half the time it isnt as the spacer slides along the hub centre first to sit flush on the disc. air guns hit the resistance and think its tight

I think I'll go with 15mm to be safe, does anyone know if the above link will be OK and if the price is good? He's local so I can go and collect.

What spacers would I need to space the rear out to match the front?
