Quick Q! - Am i supposed to be able to see the orange rubber on the left hand side of the box? Doesnt seem to cover it?

Yes im sure you can see the orange part through my airbox

I think your problem isnt just an air filter with the symptoms you have

Ill keep my fingers crossed for you though and hope its an easy fix

Im not expecting anything special from the air filter.

Just thought it was time a new filter.

Going to get it compression tested tomorrow. Scary stuff haha

Removed the CCV mod for now

I dread to think what mine looks like. The car seems a tiny bit more smoky than usual

so I'm waiting for the weather to improve a bit and then I'll take mine out for a clean.

I just bought the K&N service kit so I can clean and oil it properly.

I got the newer type with the oil in an aerosol so it'll hopefully be easier

to oil it lightly.

Clean air filter a hell of a difference to the economy I've found - mine's in for a service today - it's at 50000 miles now and I've asked them to change it even though it's not scheduled for another 30000 miles! I also asked them to turn off the annoying beep the car makes when I lock and unlock it, haha!

how long had that been in ?

Mine was serviced at 44,000miles and i bought it on Saturday with 47,000miles so full service with genuine parts today

Oil Flush & Fresh Oil

Oil Filter

Diesel Filter

Air Filter (FRAM was spotless but cant beat a good old OEM Badge)

Fresh Gearbox oil

Clean slate for me to keep tabs on
