Colour for an Octavia Scout...

Featured Replies

Anthracite here ...

... I wonder if I should have gone lighter though.

No no no! Don't say that, Anthracite is the best colour because it's what I've ordered. Don't give me doubts, last thing I (or my other half) needs is me to start wavering, she'll kill me if I mention 'that bl**dy car' (her words not mine) one more time! Obsessing is obviously a male thing :)

You are right. Anthracite is the best choice, you will not be unhappy.

FWIW my wife was the same, until it arrived, now I have to pry the keys from her.

Me too great colour for Scout + silver rails of course.

and the Polished Proteus alloys.

Because that's what I have ordered.

mines going to be royal mail red when it arrives in marchish

I'm interested to know which colours are popular (and look good) on the Scout.

Skoda appear to do one Scout only colour, Safari. Does anyone have real picture (not skoda marketing - as on image search) of what this looks like on the vehicle?

Otherwise, what colour(s) go well with the plastic cladding?

Thanks

There's and Anthracite Scout down the road from us and it does look good - possibly better than our Anthracite 4x4 - and that's from someone who generally doesn't like all the black moulding thing!

Did anyone say Arctic Green is best :thumbup:

OK, you win! That does look good!

I like the contrast colour that show off the cladding. Trouble is I have with Safari, Cappacino, Capa, Cappichin..the coffee coloured one, & the Champagne one, is that I cannot help thinking BEIGE.

The cappachino was my favourite as it looked great on the brochure but when I saw one in real life the black trim seemed to really stand out & the Coffee colour looked almost Grey, To me & its personal it just said old mans car. I originally wanted it as I thought it would hide the dirt, the next obvious choice was Silver but that to me is just too Volvo so I was pondering what to do when an Arctic Green one passed me on a roundabout & it made me go & look at one.

My advice to anyone is see the exact car in the colour you want in the flesh before ordering. We lined up 3 scouts in the end & spent a whole day driving dealer to dealer just to see them. Its important to see the exact car & trim combination in the flesh. I think Arctic green estates look really bland wheras the cappachino looks pretty good buy as soon as you add in the Scout trim its the complete opposite "BUT !" its just my opinion, as long as you like what you are buying thats fine. If you are worried about resale then its safe silver every time. Skoda if you ask really nicely will give you a dealer list so a couple of hours on the phone can usually locate the cars, second hand is fine, its the colour you are looking at. I also recomend when buying a car that you should consider trying a s/hand one, say 10K miles on it min as its a good idea on build quality. having said all that it can proove expensive, it added the Alcantara trim to ours, nothing special in the brochure but lovelly in the flesh & once we saw it we had to have it

Hi,

Ordered a Scout TDi just before Christmas (Anthracite, curtain airbags, Xenons and 4 Spoke wheel with Bluetooth) and having seen the above, it looks like another £80 for the polished alloys.

From the catalogue I really could not make out what these were, but thanks for this photo, as I reckon they will be perfect with the Anthracite paint.

Thanks Stuart,

Fanatastic work . . . and makes me feel better about the Arctic Green Scout that I ordered late November . . . even my wife likes it . . . official stamp of approval ;-)

bty 17" Proteus alloys are standard on Scouts in Oz - funny how they change options around for each country (market).
