thing is I need the car asap. I will be using the GF car and she will be using the bus. Not good really but with me just starting at Tesco Avonmouth full time I cant say I cant get there really.

My plan is to get another box, fit it, then get my box redone with new parts and an LSD (which I am unsure on just yet) then when the original clutch goes or the other gearbox goes then put a new performance clutch on and my original box all done up lol.

saves getting another car ne way.

lol yea I know mate, couldnt forget you both seen as you been soooo helpful.

this site is awesome, mind I only started on here due to a problem with my car lol. Still love her deep down.

Just Dave is a local boyo lol and again been very helpful.

I have a feeling I will just need to get any box to go on just to get it running and then get mine sorted ASAP as from my reading the vRS EHA box is the fastest petrol 02j box? ie fastest speed at 3k rpm?

I know its not really much but when its costing me over £75 a week just just on fuel that extra rpm will make it worse. but beggars cant be choosers lol

cheers again fellas.

if anything comes up my way will let you know as im driving up your way on the 15th

this is a S£$T year so far what with the car, and my grandfather not being too well :'( and now having to start a new full time job Ive been looking for since leaving the Army back in 2009. everything all seems to come at once. Job is good but not with the rest of the things in the mix.

cheers again guys,

Very Much appreciated!

UPDATE:

ok first off, Thanks to all for the help.

Jaymd cheers for the offer of a box mate.

Clive: cheers for all the help and the car.

I have managed to get AmateurStuntman's old Black vRS he stealthed up lol. Not much to look at and inside needs some TLC but OMG the handling is unlike any car Ive driven. For a FWD car its awesome. Ill be running this car for a few week then taking her off for stripping. Ill be moving stuff off it onto mine, first and foremost the gearbox, Cluch and B&M shifter.

I must say tho I really do recommend a Quaife LSD, having never driven a car with one it took me by surprise when you open it up before exiting the corner and it really pulls the car round, feels like you can just start slow into the corner and just accel all the way round.

Love it, still smiling. lol

Thanks again Clive and nice to meet you.

billy

I'll be up for a look soon :thumbup:

thanks and nice to meet you buddy always good to put name to face and all that

have fun and let me know when you need them bits and most important i will have the stereo back if not needed as the new car hasnt got one lol

fatty he will also tell you im no trader lmfao

Just to note, although you change the grarbox oil, be sure to check the diff oil. I think it's 75w90 or 70w90. The dipstick is the speed sensor.

I thought the diff one fwd boxes is the same as the box itself?

It is it is fed by the same fill up hole

O M F'in G!

Started strippin this other vRS for the parts I needed, well thought I needed.

Was up till 0230 gettin engine and gearbox out and ready to take to garage on Mon morning.

Picked car up that evening and thought I heard the grinding still? Ne way it went away and all seemed well, even on the proper test drive I couldn't hear it. Parked up and all was well.

Come to go to go out in it and OMG its there, after a few mile of driving at 60mph it is now even louder and even at 10 mph it now sounds like a bumping sound.

I am well P****d off. All I can think now is its the inned CV? Gonna have a go at swappin the entire shaft over from the other car?

I am quickly startin to HATE this car! Its not gone without anything. And never really been ragged or driven hard so why is it breaking on me?????

Billy

Ps on the breakin front all parts are on hold till I get mine fixed then ill start selling bits off.

Sorry
