Armrest for vRS?

Featured Replies

There is also two versions of it - cos that pic above is different to mine!

Mobile phone bracket comes with the "mobile version" of the armrest, but looks like it would be a right pain as it comes further out still...

Cheers for the photo.

Looks good but that handbrake does look really hampered. I assume the armrest will lock in an upwards position so that you can just put it down when required?

Heres the one thats standard on the Irish Octavia vRS

*That's* the same shape as mine...

Wayne, under the release catch for the lid is another catch, a push button, it's on a ratchet so can lock from about 5 degrees sloping down all the way up to vertical, locking every 5 degrees or so.

Looks very similar to the one i had in an Audi S3. Initially I thought it would cause a problem for general driving, but you very quicky get used to using the handbrake by hooking your fingers under the front.

I only ever lifted the rest if I needed to pull the brake on really tightly (eg when i was on the ramp of a car ferry for the crossing to France)

Hi all' date='

I was going to post on a thread i started couple weeks ago but as its the same subject i`ll keep it to this one.

Would a mk4 golf/bora, audi armrest fit into a octy as a cheaper option?

Coz there`s a few on ebay at the mo and look oem.

Cheers

The Golf/Bora one is the same fitment as the Octavia, not sure about Audi's.

Beware of the armrests on ebay, many of them are OEM replicas which look ok in the pics but are very poor quality. A few people on ukmkivs bought them and found out the hard way.

Breakers are the best bet many people have picked them for around

Is it leather on the top?
