I have an R34. I suspect that half the people on that forum have never even ridden in a GTR.

I've seen worse than that on other car forums. The fanboyism on some forums is rediculous. It's like no other car exists that can beat it.

Good job nothing like that can be said about this site. emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Fanboyism for cars doesn't just happen on forums. I see it everyday. Many Audi drivers are the worst thinking that they have the best cars on the roads but yet paid a small fortune for them (exclusion of R8's and some of the RS models). The ones who drive 1.6 A3's really pi$$ me off. Why on earth don't they buy the Golf/Octavia/Leon equivalent if you're only going for a 1.6!. The boss and the manager in worth both have IDENTICAL Audi A5 2.0TDI S-Line Convertibles both costing around 36k. Apparently these new A5's have no dipsticks (apart from the drivers :giggle:) so if you want to check the oil you have to go through the MMI on the dashboard. It's carp!. What exactly is wrong with say an EOS of you really want a convertible?

I can think of owners of other car marques that you get this from but I don't want to start no arguments.

not that I particularly like the A5, but if I can afford an A5 and prefer it to an EOS etc why would I buy the EOS? same goes for a lot of things, some people look for something that's mostly the same but cheaper and others will pay the higher price. who's the idiot depends on which side of the fence you're on

Logic would say go for the Eos since it's roughly 15k cheaper but if the heart says go for the A5 and it's affordable then fair enough. The first person I know who bought one because it was white and had the 4 rings on the grill. The other one bought it because the other one had one. to be honest most of Audi's range is overpriced because of the badge on the front end. There's also no more exclusivity. There are thousands of them on the roads and waiting lists go to almost next Christmas!

It's like the Golf GTI and the Octavia vRS. Logic to me says vRS but my heart would pull me more towards the Golf since I've always wanted a GTI. There are loads of variables when it comes to buying a car and price is the main one. When it comes to buying cars on the same platform though that are identical underneath then it's just down to if you like the styling and if you're willing to pay a bit more for it. The new Polo GTI from what I've seen looks a bit better than the Fabia vRS but is it really worth 4k more plus options for what is essentially the same car? If it was my money then I'd take the vRS since I also want an estate.

No lol! There's bitching there? No this particular group of cars I'm on about IMO look a bit chavvy with one exception since it has an awesome engine. I accidentally called the looks of said car chavvy in a post I'd copied and pasted on here and two other forums. Post was perfectly normal here but over there it started a MASSIVE argument which resulted in someone getting banned.

Link please :D

It was BMW wasn't it... eh...eh

you cant beat a bit of bitching

i have a skoda and an audi you know what? there always fighting :D :D :D

That thread is nearly 3 years old :wonder: besides there wasn't really any bitching as most people said they were good cars....

Nope not BMW. They have 5 "hot cars" in their range and in Europe they go under the name OPC
