Must be a spec thing going on here? Built in batches? Or maybe demand for the 1.6 CR TDI enginer which I have ordered?

My dealer told me that a 1.6 TDI 4x4 was the worst possible combination you could have in terms of delivery time so perhaps the 2.0 TDI's will be delivered a little bit sooner.

Not wrong there! Needless to say my dealer didn't tell me that at the time...

Exactly 36 weeks since I placed my order; still not got my hands on it yet!

I am scheduled to pick my Diesel Scout up on 31 January. My order my placed on the 30 June, so it will have been 7 months and one day of a wait.

I saw the car in the flesh last night as I popped over to the deal to sign the finance paperwork. The car has been registered etc. so I don't foresee any major problems.

It has been a very long and frustrating wait, but the bottom line for me was there was little viable alternative, given the value of the VAT offer, keen part-ex price from the dealer (which they have honoured.) and the absolute lack of second-hand options in the market place. There was nothing in all seriousness from other manafacurers which really appealed to me.

So - fingers crossed for Monday!

Well I decided to phone SKoda Uk for an update and mine has been brought forward to week 9!

Still not confirmed so could go either way but from ordering on the 23rd December that would only be about 10 weeks to build and would mean delivery at the start of April.

Ordered my vRS diesel with all the works November 22nd. Today I had final confirmation on build week 5. Car finalized January 31st. 9 weeks from order to final, although LHD. Delivery before March. Well done Skoda!

I ordered my L&K estate 2.0CR at the start of november

was given potential build week 5

notified today that the car is already built

just a shame i can't collect till end of april due to being stuck in canada with work

but at least it'll be on the new plate

but order to delivery could have been as quick as 12 -14 weeks better than the 20 weeks+ i was expecting

maybe the delay issue has been worked out
