DMF Problems

Featured Replies

Hello

I have a Fabia VRS with a superchip and it sounds like the flywheel is starting to go and I do about 500 miles a week in it.

Having the superchip I was looking at the uprated clutches (I know it's not a massive power increase but it's an increase all the same) and they have an option of having a single mass flywheel.

Has anyone had any problems with these in regards to any extra noise or vibrations?

Cheers

I've got one of the Jabbasport SMF conversion kits with a Sachs uprated clutch. the noise is "unique" at tickover. But had no problem with mine - its running somewhere about 170-180bhp

Depends what you mean by "problems". It's very noisy on tick over when not in gear, but then that's part of having one. If you don't have issues with that it's not a problem. If your not going to take the power any higher, if just replace with a uprated clutch and standard flywheel or even standard clutch too. SMF is a bit overkill on a mapped car unless you like that kind thing.
