My car keeps randomly saying the temp is 20c and stuff like that... Is this a common problem? Is it just a case of replacing the sensor?

Anyone got a part number?

water temp on the gauge or outside temp reading?

more than likely the sensor but i havent any info on the location or part numbers sorry

I think it's in the bumper on the right hand side. At least there was an extra plug that side when I had it off, so I assume it's the outside temperature sensor. No idea on the part number though.

Yes.. if you pull the lower-nearside (or on the right if you look at the car head on) grille off, the sensor is on a bracket there.. you should be able to see if theres any damage to the wiring too.

I believe its on the N/S

By the screen washer bottle (the wireing)
