My thoughts exactly. Please don't pitch up at 8 and go for a full english as it's a long, lonely drive to Combe. :D

There will be a meet up at Chieveley services on the M4 for 8am if you fancy getting up early ;)

Tempting. Only a 2hour blast down the M40 from me.....

It does mean getting up at 0530hrs though

Count yourself lucky, I have to get up at 3.30am :'(

I noticed that Castle Combe has a 4x4 area. will it be open on saturday, I mean, take the track car out round the track and then round the off road circuit. Not many cars can do that!emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Anyone else partaking in more track sessions on the day?

SWMBO has been asking what I wanted for my birthday.... Can't help thinking it'd be fun pitching old faithful up against some "foreign" machinery :giggle:

I'd be up for another. Not sure how to go about it though...

Entry as passenger to the track session. Tickets for 16+ ages, is £10 on the gate.

How would I go about getting a passenger pass mate?

I'm a doubt now, unless I can get my car fixed by Friday :(

If it's not fixed by then I'll see about using my brothers Saxo, but I won't be putting that on the track.

What's up with the car Chris

Details are here, my brother reckons it could be the EGR, will know more tomorrow when I take the car to the garage

Buy it at the circuit.

Just head to race control building hand over the readies get hadned a passenger wrist band. simples.

valid all day to so you could hang around the queue for each track session and attempt to blag a ride in any exotic machinery you fancied

I'll be getting in as much track time as possible, track time can be purchased on the day from the strawford centre which is attached to the garage where the track briefings are done.

Car's all ready mechaniclly, New drive shafts fitted last weekend along with arb rubbers, oil and filter change, new plugs, tyres swapped around and pressures checked. Just needs a quick wash off as a bit dusty where not being used much at the mo.

front bumper mounted track camera is all charged, race suit is all washed and dried, tank is filled with the finest 99ron money can buy........... coombe here we come!!!!

Hi Mike

AS far as i am aware the "Briskoda only" track session is sold out.

You can still come along to the show and become part of the Briskoda "stand" but all slots in the track session are taken i think.

Has anyone got any issues if my now wrc-less brother hides his :smirk: Clio on the brisk stand somewhere ?

A back corner or sumin

He hasnt been to castle coombe before and is coming along with me and the briskfolk im meeting before hand

Im going to guess i'll have us there early so can sort where to park :giggle: And clean the dust of my yummy new wheels ;)

I can bring along my VAG-COM if that helps anyone? Although, I don't fancy data logging around the track :D I get car sick :p

I can also add window control on the remote key fob for MK1 Octys if anyone wishes B) - and yes I have done this on mine.

Also if anyone is bringing along a standard mapped '04 - '05 MK1 Octy vRS I would be keen on having a chat.

See you at Chieveley services.

Higgy.
