Best Colour for Elegance hatch?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

As the title indicates, i'm after peoples opinion on which colour suits the Octavia hatch the best? I'm looking at Elegance spec

Any pics would be most welcome to give me my own ideas :)

Thanks in advance

Black, obviously ;)

Other than that dark grey and silver always look good I think....

blue is the best i think

+1 for Anthracite, but I'm biased.:)

Rosso Brunello is nice too....

How about Red?

Storm Blue with cream interior, but I'm biased. If I was ordering again I would look at Anthracite, White or that new very light blue.

If I were ordering, it would be Anthracite. Nice that you get more choice than with the vRS though, so there's a few more to choose from.

On the red issue, I personally only think it works well with the Sport (do they even still offer that on the FL?) or the vRS. Depends how much you like red of course :D

Thanks for the replies so far

I've been looking on the Skoda website for examples & saw a real nice one in White, with the boot spoiler & 17's fitted. Wasn't sure whether White would suit it but this looked good B)

Cheers

I think red only works on the VRS! But then again i'm biased! There is a FL Red taxi i see around my work and to be honest it just doesn't look right...but then again its got black wing mirrors and bump strips which perhaps makes it look worse...

Yep, similar to my thoughts. Think you need a decent size of wheel and some sporty additions to make it work in red

Anthracite again here but again I'm biased...

RED +1

makes a nice change from grey and silver that the rest of the world has.

Depends on what you are looking for. Me I think the Octavia looks best in the Anthracite grey as it makes the car look understated amd more elegant.

Corrida Red is the only option. All the dull greys, white, black are for bank managers :giggle:

Here is mine:

OH go on then - I did see a brand new shiney Anthracite grey Elegance in the car park at work yesterday - looked rather nice I must admit.

Nice...but it is missing the rear spoiler, the 18's and the VRS Front bumper :giggle:

Although mine is missing the 18's atm

I'm not saying it's the BEST colour but if you want the EASIEST colour go for Cappuchino. I have never come across a finish that cleans so easily, and tends to look clean even when it's a bit dirty.

Warm water, a chamois leather (I use a Flunkey), no shampoo, and really no wax needed, though I do use a bit of Nano easy squirt stuff.

I think it must be because Cappuchino is a bit like the colour of everyday dirt.

Swirl Marks galore!! :o

You must use shampoo at a minimum!!

Anthracite grey looks great, and I've found this winter that its also the best for not showing the dirt and grime of wintry roads. I was tempted by the red, but I do think you need a car to have more of a sporty look elsewhere (alloys, etc) to really have a red Octy.

But then it would just look like a VRs! :giggle:

Red Elegance with 17's are rarer and more exclusive B)

I have anthracite and love it.

Only issue is that I have been to two dealers over the past few days, and all of the cars that are coming out with a 60 plate seem to be the same colour, so it may now be 'too popluar'

Thing I like is that it looks great clean, AND dirty!

I almost ordered Anthracite but as it was a new colour i thought that everyone would order it so it was then down the Corrida Red or Race Blue...But Race Blue is far too common :giggle:

Had it 2 years - not a mark in sight, but do use lots of water.

With that cleaning setup you'd be better not cleaning it all at. Seriously. If you don't want to completely ruin your paintwork that is.

Well, if it is causing trouble, it is taking an awful long time to show up.

I'm pondering an Anthracite FL vRS. Does anyone have any pictures of one in that colour?
