Retrim in cloth?

Featured Replies

Also keep your eye out for some fabia sport seats. Same seat as the vRS with big bolsters, just not in a stupid colour to keep clean! :D

Sorry for the poor quality pics

Ohhh, now I do like those. My seats are going to need retrimming or replacing at some point as they're ripped, and I keep catching my jeans on one bit and making it worse with the button on the back pockets. But I'm not really into leather so I was thinking of a cloth retrim. Sam's seats look nice, but they don't look to be as supportive as the vRS ones due to the smaller bolsters and the headrest against the seat back seems to change the contour of the seat so I'm not sure I'd find them as comfy. But looks like what I should do is keep an eye open for some of those Sport seats and just lose the vRS logos but keep the vRS shape

What would need adjusting to fit MK4 Polo seats in?

How Much did those seats cost Simon?

I tried finding a set of Fabia Sport seats, they just seem impossible to find.

The Polo set came up at a very reasonable price and I'm more than happy with them. They certainly hold me in very well, but then again, I'm fairly thin so I think that helps. emoticon-0100-smile.gif

I think the headrest looking odd Gavin is just down to my weird driving position. emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

Runners definitely afaik - as for the rear bench, i'm not convinced it'll go in...

However i've heard that the golf mk3 platform shares the same runners supposedly - which is why I was looking at:

Or something of that sort. The colour concept seats came in all sort of colours - yellow, red, blue, black...

I'm still undecided on where i'll go - i've also heard that mk4 golf tdi seats fit in with a bit of work...

I was a lucky bugger and did a swap with someone, they wanted the vRS seats! So cost me nothing - still can't believe it even now! :)

Doesn't seem to be much choice in the MK6 polo arena so far....ibiza MK3 seats look naff. Guess I'll just hang on to my credit card for now.

MK3 Polo is a straight fit too?

Nope - runner mods needed for the fronts, unsure on the rears.

Plain and simple.

Just did a BIN to take it off the market....does that look reasonable? I'm gonna sell the doorcards on as I'm happy with my amateur trim work on mine...

Very.

Good work :D

Oh crap... Seller didn't specify in the email about which MK... But if it's a 2008, likely to be 9N3?

That'll be fine.

Hmmm... That depends. The BIN one looks good - the auction one looks a little darker (And therefore better) to me, but the centre inlay might not be to everyones tastes.

Right about the centre inlay.....I thought I was getting buyer's remorse :p

Drawers under the seats look cool, as does the arm rest in the rear in the BIN. Yay, I have new seats :D

Hopefully can recoup some of the investment from selling the polo doorcards and current seats...

They will look mint once fitted

You should be able to get some of the money back. I made a small profit by selling my original vRS seats :)

Mine are only standard comfort trim....but ill hire a rugbuster and go over them before flogging. Cant wait :D

There goes my resolution not to tinker around till the summer holidays....damn uni work.

Winter is one of the best times to do work - provided you have somewhere you can get it done in relative comfort... Means you can spend more of spring/summer/autumn enjoying driving ;)

Its the relative comfort bit that's the problem...but i like your thinking!

Heh, i've got a garage so I guess i'm safe.

Though in the past I have done the buying a gazebo and an inspection light to work with a la rally stages hahahaha!

Must've turned a few neighbours' eyes!

Yep... It was impressive having a gearbox and associated parts strewn around the driveway...

New seats fitted....looking awesome! Still need to vacuum around the car before I share photos. Shall I scotchguard them all? Thinking of hiring a rugdoctor for good measure.

On another note, do the MK6 polo door cards fit MK1 fabia? Just wondering if it's worth me hanging onto them just in case I ever want to switch, or just flog them and recoup some of the investment in the seats.
