Hi, Just about to place order for Fabia vRS.. Would prefer Black, however last Black car was a XR2 which was a pain to keep clean & paintwork chipped easily. Have things improved or is Silver the better option,

Cheers.

get a Octavia instead!!!!!

Can't afford one.. Wifes just bought a Mini Cooper & we've got two GS1200's in the Garage.. have to settle for the 'Little Hatchback'

point taken, was just pushing my Octavia passion upon a new undecided member!!!!

Silver gets dirty too, as do all colours, if you like black get black, simple really

I can't see that the colour would have anything to do with the paint - that's down to the formulation. All I can say about mine so far is that I've got not stone chips at all in 2,400 miles...

I'm disappointed with the "Magic Black" paint - I thought if would be more "sparkley" - in fact it looks dull most of the time. And shows the dirt badly. Hence I polished it for the first time at the weekend which make it much more "slippery" and hopefully the dirt won't adhere so much. Certainly looks fine today.

Black certainly looks great when it's clean but it gets grubby-looking really quickly, especially at this time of year...

As do all cars

Sure, but black seems to show it more than - in particular - silver.

White is probably even worse though... Thankfully not a choice on the vRS

Black Magic, grey when dirty but when its clean (which aint to difficult in summer) boy does it shine.

Welcome to the forum.

Personnaly I prefer yellow for its all round 'Summer' feel. Although maybe not on the furby.

welcome to Briskoda

When I got pulled the other week my car was looking particularly minging. Sort of how you can imagine after a 600 mile trip in this weather. Anyway, as he's taking my details the copper asks me what colourt he car is!!! Git!!
