Rmap Octavia 1.8 TSI DSG 7

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have doubts the 7-speed DSG remap.

who has experience with GIAC, REVO, APR remap in Octavia 1.8 TSI with 7-speed DSG ?

Thank

The clutch is only designed for 250 Nm but one could boast the power between 4500 rpm and 6000 rpm but keeping the torque at 250 Nm between these revs and therefore power would be around 215 hp at 6000 rpm.

The problem seems to be getting someone to do a customs map just for this area being tweaked and not the rev range under 4500 rpm and also that this newer engine have encrypted engine managment units. I would want a rolling road torque curve before and after showing torque has not exceeded this limiit by more than 5% or maybe 10% but then carried this one to 6000 rpm and then quickly backing it off between 6000 and 7000 rpm.

To find this in Chile good luck. How is the performance at high altitude? Might just wait until the next best thing is out. Wife has 2 litre TSI which is fun and uses same EA888 engine but I prefer 7 speed DSG - 1.8 TSI mix as I have 50 mile/80 km better range and L&K comforts.
